He has been telling the same type of comedy routine for years, the same as Jimmy Carr, who also had a Netflix special that got backlash because nobody in America knew who he was or what type of humor his show featured

I agree that Dave Chapelle is legend! But seriously disappointed with Ricky's show. After all the build up, I wasn't impressed.

There were a few funny segments, but man, the bulk of the show was him pretending to laugh hysterically at his own "jokes" that didn't actually land. It just felt to me like he was just full of himself and thought he was way funnier than he actually was.

That's not to say that I didn't enjoy much of the special, and some of it was actually very funny, but overall I give it about 7/10
