Tech Domain name of mine is showing Russian WordPress login

I checked an old site of mine today and was surprised to see a wordpress homepage appear..in Russian. It just has the Russian 'Hello' default first post showing, dated from December last year.

I thought I must have let the domain expire and somebody else registered it, but no, I still have it in my NameCheap account. The servers are pointed to a webhost I had cancelled over a year ago. Or were pointed, as I changed them back to NameCheap default servers this morning. However, the Russian wordpress page still appears.

Can somebody explain what might be going on?

Check your domain on https://dnschecker.org/ to see where the interwebs thinks it points to. It might just be browser caching or your ISP caching the DNS.

Thanks, that's a useful tool. I tried it and it does say that the servers are pointing to NameCheap. Must be an ISP cache thing as the Russian blog still shows on all my devices and browsers.

Well it seems fixed now, thanks for everybody's advice and help.

I should have mentioned that I'm not Russian :D so my concern with the Russian wordpress page was that I had been hacked.
