Alrightie, time for me to bitch.

I've just spent the past 9, count 'em, N I N E hours searching for a domain for a new site. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that I could think of was taken - even the crapper alternatives. All the best domains? All "coming soon" pages. What is the point of it I don't know, they are good domains but nobody in their right mind is going to be paying $2k+ to some domain squatter. They aren't that good afterall.

Anyway, now for the advice. Greenguy Link-o-rama... lots of sites listed there. If you're having difficulty finding a good domain that isn't taken - surf into the appropriate category, and pick up keywords from there. For example, if you're doing a teen site but can't find a domain with "teen" in it, then surf on in and look at the alternatives. For example, you'll see "virgins", "schoolgirls", "young", "collegegirls" etc... all variants on the teen term. If you follow me.

Can't agree with you enough on that shit! Looking for a domain is like pulling fucking teeth, and most those fuckers don't have the sense to redirect it to a sponser and make a little green from it. They just have them parked somewhere.

What a waste.

If ya need domains that are easy just tell me what your niche is and I can get ya a list of names i can get ahold of for under 250 a pop.

Decent ones, cheaper ones around 100.

I just picked up amateurcenterfolds.com and bigbreasts.org

I kinda felt that I should reply to this. You might consider me a domain name squatter, as I have about a dozen or so of them that I have not developed yet. However, I do plan to develop most of them - and if someone wants to offer me big bucks for some of them, that's ok too. (anyone wanna buy jockballs.com?)

go to whois.net and do a search on deleted domain names with a key word of your choice...

there is a lot of 9343u4030porn.com kind of domains in it but there are some brilliant ones to...

ld contact me on icq i know of a prity decent teen domain name that is still free.

Let us remember the meaning behind "top-Level" domain extensions ....just for a second ...

.COM is short for COMMERCIAL
.NET is short for NETWORK
.ORG is short for ORGANIZATION (meant to refer to non profit, as stated by NETWORK SOLUTIONS)

I think given this, that it is kinda IMMORAL, not to say UNETHICAL, to obtain such a domain with the malace of making absorbiant amounts of ca$h from it ...

Anybody who says all the GOOD top level names are gone, just hasn't been looking hard enough ... somebody please tell me why I was able to buy both RENTPORNOS.COM and RENTPORNOS.NET (to mirror the .COM, and give me another main gateway for the SEs) ???

I am building a BROADBAND Video-On-Demand site, and found those names available on my second and third tries respecxtively, with NO "contacts" at the registars' either ...

And just to add insult to injury, I registered them both for the next TEN years, and it only cost me $69 each !!(GoDaddy)
