I hope I'm not offending anyone by saying this, But for fuck's sake! Can't anything be left alone the way it's supposed to be? The Hummer was cool when it was the Humvee.... when it could drive effortlessly over 10inch logs, or be completely submerged and operate with a snorkel. How about those auto inflate tires? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? Looks to me like mom will be "riding in style" to the soccer game of tomorrow! Yup, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliot better get the pre-release soon before corporate america takes it to the burbs. Next lets take another classic utilitarian vehicle like the jeep and make it lame, oh damn they beat me to it. Hello Liberty, I'm stuck. No, I don't think you have the ability to tow me out... better get the 'ol Hummer.
Cheers

I dunno about the H3, but the H2 is an extremely capable offroad machine and it has very nice onroad manners also. Of course its not quite the offroad brute that the H1 is, but it wasnt designed for fighting wars either.

I love my H2. I didnt love my H1.

I've only driven an H1, and it IS a brute. I'm sure the H2 is far more street friendly. I'd drive one too, but seeing as I'm nowhere near the 6 figure mark as of yet, that will not be happening. Maybe by the time I'm 23 I could do that. Yeah that'd be neat-o. Keep on Ballin!

Cheers

the fucking H2 is a god damned tahoe with a differant body, Its not a very forboding off road vehicle, id take my 03 jeep rubicon any fucking day on any fucking road over some flamerific fangled new age homo-lookin' soccer mom, ride of the week. yea does the escalade ring a bell? that was last years H2.

H1, still a weak ass POS compared to a true humvee. but a nice ride nonetheless. aside from the width problem, the 4 wheel indy is pretty nice. but the thing is a fucking HULK.

they should have wheels like inspector gadgets feet,
so the wheels rise up,

then have wings and machine guns,
then add a rocket to the back,
a satellite and finaly a cupholder,

i just love the new hummer!

Expensive cars are for egotists. Such vanity items are unneeded. A decent $30k car is fulfilling to me. Needless to say, such money guzzling items are symbolic of "the American dream".

Enjoy paying an additional $10 when parking your oversized SUV.

I have started seeing the Soccer moms in the H2's around here, give them another few months and they will all start turning up at the dealers as lease returns after the joy of $100 a week plus on gas taking junior to his soccer games wears off.

(My wife gave me a hummer last night!)

I don't understand the interest in Humvees. I used to drive one every day of my life for nearly four years while I was in the Marines. They have about as much style and sophistication as a ten ton truck.

i don't know as much about the drivetrain of a tahoe, but i hear the h2 is basically the drivetrain of a chevy 1500. the IFS isn't really a great item to have off road, there's only so much you can get out of something like that before it starts to suck.

the hummer is a great vehicle. i thought i wanted an h2 for a while, but decided if i was going to get something like that, it'd have to be the original humvee. just not enough truck for the buck, far too street-oriented. they're basically just capitalizing on all the "suburban warriors" out there that have to tackle potholes with something larger than their neighbors.

i like suvs and such, but i think it's a total shame that well over 50% of them never see dirt.

There is nothing like independent rear suspension on the first Hummer, now, they're all just Hummerish Tahoes.
