Tell Me What i can do to Make Stynk.com Better?

Have a statement at the top of your free pages that proclaims your faith to that of the boneprone family.

I would personally go for a more "new-age" site design. Free hosts can only benefit from a crisp-clean look. Images can be swapped for colorful tables etc.

Personally I'd jump in & make it phat pronto...if it were my site =) ::cough:::

But honestly...it looks aight bro :-)

I know, I know this is nit picking, but the domain name really sucks.

I don't want you to think that this is a rip to you, I don't even know you, and I'm sure you provide a great service. But just a couple of ideas.


- You need to give what the terms are. On your signup page you require that people check, but you never tell them what they are agreeing to

- There is no sample of what your headers/footers look like, most people won't signup if they don't know what they have to deal with in terms of ads!

- I came away from your site not knowing how big a file size you have, do you allow movie file types, or just html ????

- nit picky things like your signup page is kind of weird, not aligned, do you really need to know my sex ?? Why both birthday and age ??? Not a big thing, but seems odd to ask.


If I were to start a free host, there would be a number of things that I would do. Including.

- virtual domains would be nice. Sub-domains would be a requirement. In other words you shouldn't have http://www.stynk.com/members/bob/something.html I would make it http://member.stynk.com/ much easier to use!

- Multiple domains to choose from for names, in fact I would make them category based. Have like

freelesbianpics.com
freegaypics.com
freehardcorepics.com
freeebonypics.com

That way you could target your ads to the persons page that is using your service, and if they don't use the right cat, you can delete them.

- I'm not sure why free hosts don't offer some sort of simple stats, that way you can keep the hardcore counter/stats buttons off the pages. Which hit's on the other thing, if I'm a webmaster that tries to tease the surfer, and you have hardcore ads on your headers/footers I can't do my job. Maybe an option to be on a domain which only has softcore ads, and buttons only.

- Maybe a links list that lists all sites with you already, that could drive traffic to the sites. Be like your own tgp

- A paid hosting option would be nice, and it would work in well with the subdomains due to the fact that you could put them on a different server by just changing the dns I think a lot of people use the free hosts as disposable due to the fact that so many of them have come and gone But if you make it so that they can grow with you, and switch over to a full paid hosting if they are successful with their sites they might be more likely to work with you. I know that CDSmith does most all of his stuff on free hosts, so he might be able to chime in here and give some more suggestions!

Again no disrespect meant to you, I just thought you might think about some of these items, and they might help

Hardcorehosing made some pretty good suggestions. It's important for some one to see the header/footer you use. Also, the design of your site plays an important role. Personally, I don't sign to a sponsor, host, service etc if it has bad design. Get rid of the mouseovers on your affiliate links. I go nuts when I see them on webmaster resources pages. Things that are not allowed in many tgps and linksites in order to "procect" surfers are used to trick webmasters. I don't have any problem to sign under your affiliate code, but if I see something like that believe me I won't. And as already mentioned, domain hosting is the top feature a free host can give to a webmaster.

Here's one more suggestion: Get sponsors in your footer and headers that aren't blacklisted by the Hun. I just tried to submit there this morning and his bot refused it because it had links to sponsors that he said resulted in a series of popups. It's pretty hard to please the Hun and there are plenty of other good TGP's, but that's just a suggestion.

You run a great, fast, reliable host otherwise! The best I've used.

I've been thinking about this all day, and I have a few more idea's I'd like to run by everyone. Please comment, flame me, tell me to go fuck myself Just please tell me if this would work!


Mission statement: A free / almost free hosting company that offers most of the advantages of the paid host, with all services being free - or really really really cheap !! The webmaster and the host would be in a true partner relationship. Each would respect the others needs, with both making a profit and enjoying what they do


I know I'm dreaming here but what if a host existed that offered these options. (( Hey you free hosts, the bar has just been raised, who will meet the challenge ))


- A yearly membership fee that kept the looser's out that cause so many problems for free hosts.

- Be TGP, AVS and SE friendly!

- Access to 35+ domains that cover each of the major niches. And give out sub-domains as the url. i.e. http://hotbabes.babes4free.com/ as the url for your site.

- Virtual domain's of your own.

- Daily Stat's emailed to you each night with full accounting of your sites.

- FTP file upload, along with a control panel to manage domains

- unlimited POP email accounts to your domain. i.e. [email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

- Scripts that can be installed at the push of a button from your control panel.

- header/footer reduction to very minimal for a small per GB price. i.e. Such as 75cents/GB with single line of text at top and bottom! Not really sure about this one.

- Ability to convert to a full paid hosting option without losing sub-domain name.

- AVS friendly sites. headers and footers that are using only the avs of choice. i.e. adult check only allows other AC sites to be advertised to be placed in the tier 1 of links list so have header/footers that comply with that rule.

- .htaccess protection for avs and full membership sites password protected areas.

- custom 404 pages for the subdomain. That way you don't lose any traffic when someone types it wrong, or tries to explore your site!

- A link list, tpg, or a SE that drives traffic to the sites on the free host. i.e. http://www.babes4free.com/ would list all the babe sites that are under this domain. This could have an advertising pool, where people that want preferred status in the pages could pay into a monthly pool that buys traffic from other sites. Like what ynotmasters does, where there are premium slots, and then all the standard listings. Imagine how much traffic could be bought if 500 people popped in say 10 bucks a month.

- A content pool option. The free stuff that I've seen on most free hosts are way over used stuff anyway. But what if you have a group of people that were serious about this business, and decided to each kick in say $30 a month to a pool. If you had just 100 people in the pool, that is a shit load of fresh pics that anyone in the pool can use as long as it is under one of the 35 host owned sites!!

- A TGP, LL, SE submission tool that creates the recp links needed along with all the html needed. It would then have a page in frames that allowed you to submit by hand to each of the sites like what http://gain.masstraffic.com/ does but it would show you the url for your page that has the recp link. That way with autofill turned on in IE you can submit to around 300 sites in about an hour and a half. The other option would be a script that you could add to your pages to automatically place the html for the recp depending on who you are submitting to. i.e. http://your.domain.com/gallery1/index.html?site=hun would put the huns recp code in without you needing to hard code it in.


Ok so what else would a webmaster need ??? Any and all ideas welcome!!!

I would be willing to work on such a worthy project if there are others that would like to join up to create such a beast

Seriously, you touched on a few really good points. One of my biggest pet peeves with most freehosts is that most of them don't have a sample page to let prospective joiners see what their headers/footers will look like. I find it very distasteful when, after taking the time to sign up, set up the ftp or log into the file manager, upload my site to the new server, then go out on the net and look at my lovely pages -- only to find HUGE half-page freehost ads that look like porno-hell.

Oscer, I'm pretty confident that I can make your page friendly to all monitor sizes in a short time. Let me know if you want me to try.

Your headers/footers look okay to me. I've looked at a LOT of freehosts, both for myself and from other webmasters, and in comparison, your ads are of a decent size and design. However, if you aked me to, would I change anything? Yes, I would. But, like always, what I say to every webmaster is "if, when you sit back and look at your sites, and they make you happy, then they are fine."
