Well when the Net started up I knew it would be fantastic for Porn after coming out of the numbers we saw in audiotext. But I figured no way in hell will the DOJ not jump all over this wide open porn distribution. Taking the cautious route on the Net cause we had gone so hardcore in phone sex and been too visible was one of my early mistakes doing just softcore on the Net. Hardcore porn then reached critical mass and just proliferated like crazy and I realized nobody could stop it or effectively criminalize it and I said fuck the Playboy bikini crap we were doing that first year and migrated into the hardcore everyone else was publishing.

Looking back I wasted a year doing just the softcore bs.

i always said its not hard to fake stats...login to your stat page,copy the html,load it in notepad,change the figures,reload it onto your server,copy the URL of the stats login page into your browser BUT DONT CLICK IT,snap a screenshot and there you go

the point about research is so important and one day I will listen to it more than I do. However, the most succesful site I have ever had was and is mainstream and on a topic I knew nothing about but when reading up on search term popularity a throw away line in the article sparked my mind and site was up by the end of the day.

In the Uk the current phone sex like trend appears to be mobile phone ring tones. I wish I had been on that at the start cause I am sure it is about played out now.
