What I am asking , because you are suggesting you don't need their WL, what happens if I send people who already registered with bonga cams. Considering this is one of the most popular cam sites, there is a big chance they already have an account.

They will just keep using their existing accounts which means I did my job for nothing.

It is a huge traffic leak. So WL only makes sense. If they are owners of WL then I am stupid to build traffic for that. With WL domain under your control, you can simply change sponsor in a few clicks instead of being dependent on someone's else decisions.

I am not talking about WL of course. And how other sponsors are not using such "protection measure".

It doesn't matter, you won't change policy after all these years but it would be interesting to measure how much money your company actually lost because of such a decision.
