Are mainstream websites EASIER to promote and get "SHARED" vs adult? tnx

That is a broad question. A lot depends on various factors: who is your audience (age, education, sex, cultural background, etc.) what is the content product or service, and what you have done to captivate the viewer so much that they want to share it with others.
I'm an educated white male in his 50s. I do not share porn with friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, or strangers for that matter. Roll the time machine back to my being a young kid, there was a small group of us boys that were tight, and we passed the dirty magazines around. Make sense?
Mainstream wise, the average product, service or story does nothing to motivate me to share it with anyone. It has to be way out there funny, disturbing, or relevant to something that I know someone in my circle is looking for.
If you dare to share the general idea of what you want to pitch on the internet, let the good folks here at GFY share their infamous wisdom with you, or at the least steal the concept and run with it themselves. i've done the adult. seems hard to "share" and make it go "viral" i haven't tried mainstream video but, it feels like its easier.Comment

Do you share every page that's "kinda" interesting with your buddies?
Or do you only share those very few real "bangers", the ones that offer something truly unique?
I don't think the market or niche is really important in terms of which one is easier to get shared, but it's rather more a question of whether or not you produce content that your target audience thinks is worthy of sharing. Even if the content is good, good usually isn't enough to get people to share it. It's kinda like some SEO gurus over here at GFY that are claiming you can't get organic links to adult websites, which is completely false. The reality is that it has nothing to do with adult content, but it has everything to do with the fact that the content offers zero value and simply nobody feels it's worthy of sharing.
But yeah, people likely won't share links with adult content with everyone they know, so those numbers for adult are smaller. Still, I've seen adult pages getting over 1000 social shares, so it does happen.Comment

In theory yes! but in practice there's 10000X the competition and often your not competing against individual or small company internet entrepreneurs but multi Million/Billion dollar companies.
