For those sponsor programs that have Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc content, how far in advance of the holiday do you start putting ads up for those types of sites or content?

In your opinion is there a 'sweet spot' when it comes to pushing this type of content to your site visitors?

I know I've been busy creating holiday ads the last couple weeks

Here in Aruba up until last year black pete was still allowed to be black.






And the majority of people who celebrate it here aren't white, and they paint their faces even blacker.
It's a day of celebration, where kids get presents and adults drink a beer.
It never had anything to do with slavery or racism and people from all races and nationalities celebrate it together.

But then some fuckfaces go on television in the Netherlands, images with a white bearded dude and his black helpers that are easily misinterpreted go all over the world, and now it will also be forbidden by law here. And most black people here are furious!

a few weeks, sometimes a month before, depends whether it´s the shoot, so the content or the web structure, banners, the promotion, the updates, tubes, my own profiles.

but yes, averaging 2 and 4 weeks before the said holiday...

I enjoy Halloween most, but Valentines & Christmas can be fun with the trees and the stockings.

We aren't content producers, but we see holiday-themed promos start 1-2 weeks before the targeted holiday. Production of the promo material to use of course is very likely to happen earlier than that.
