Exactly the sort of thing that makes netflix worth having. Longer than a film but also not stretched out over an overly long season, meaning lots of filler. Plus not a subject that you are gonna get on normal TV, so yes, I apoove.

One thing I do like, is how netflix dubs the voices into your own language - And they do it in a way that makes you think its what they really said. It doesn't look dubbed at all. Very little disconnect from the words being said and the mouth movements. Not sure if they alter the mouths digitally, but it certainly works

It's just how good dubbing works - the writing and experienced speaker.

In Germany you get all foreign content dubbed in this quality.

Do you really prefer dubbed content to subtitles and hearing the original language?

I rather suffer through reading the subs than listening to voice actors, no matter how good they are. It just feels so fake.

I tried watching it dubbed last night. It was an American voiceon a Korean actor. How is that believable?

Suspension of disbelief? I mean, if I see a Korean person in the street, and they are talking English, I dont look twice. Likewise if they were talking Korean, it wouldn't phase me.

I just see the Korean actors as talking in English. I just dont overthink it, and enjoy the story.

If it was really bad with an actor moving his or her mouth silently for an entire sentence as they animatedly react to something, and then right in the the middle a disinterested English voice just says 'No'... Then yeah, that's total crap...

But it isn't anything remotely even like that, so I enjoy it

If they really wanted to make the dubbing believable, they'd use English speakers with a slight Korean accent.

ya that works great on a few of the series and movies.

Rurouni Kenshin was awesome (2 movies)

Ragnarok was enjoyable too

I agree, subs or bust... Dubs, no matter how well done, simply don't capture the same level of emotion, story detail, captivation, etc.

I'd have to check it out, but I've watched a countless number of foreign films, and the original language with subs is always far superior in my experience. Yeah, it kinda sucks having to read the whole time, but I'm used to it.

The Billion Dollar Code now on Netflix is English dubbed over German. talks about Google fucking over some post-Cold War Berliners and stealing Google Earth from them. only 4 eps. very good but bad ending. Google is evil.
