No doubt the mod is going to move this to the brain dead zone (politics).

I don't know about other people but I tend to like animals better than most people. Ok, I have sex with
double X chromosomes human females but after sex I would still probably would prefer the company
of an animal in most cases.

This flashed up on one of my feeds and if it's true then I'm in total shock. This is an atrocity and why
the hell isn't PETA saying something about it.

I got a rescue kitty almost 3 months ago now. Watching her go from being afraid of almost everything and anything, to having her now following me around the house constant and has complete trust in me has gave me more joy than most humans i have came into contact with in my life and i'm 40 years old.

we took our baby in 4 years ago, with the neighbours leaving her behind when they moved out. Our beautiful cat was only young, and while in Spain, nights in winter get to about 5 c or colder...

we opened our door to her and kept her warm through the nights, she left for walk abouts in the day and come back at nights and now she´s head of the house, stays in nearly all the time and, what she wants, she gets lol

The fucking city pounds and shelters all want the puppies because worldwide there is a huge demand $$$$ Problem is these arent city dogs, they're inbreed problems and require a lot of handling and dedicated owner.... not a family of four in a 2 bedroom apartment 11 floors up that all leave the house from 8 to 4.

It's not a good thing that they were euthanized just understand we are not talking about fluffy lost pets but wild roaming animals that survive in one of the harshest areas on the planet.... being onsold to city dwellers that know no diffrent.

I love most animals.

I like to eat them too...but I won't eat my own. I have some very delicious looking angus heifers out there...perfect time to slaughter, but I just love their sweet faces.

If everyone had to look at the face of their meat, there would be TONS more vegans.

I am a dog lover, that's for sure.

We had our first dog for sixteen years, a black lab, and went two years without a dog. We went two long years without a dog. A year and a half ago we adapted a puppy. This was our first puppy. It was taxing at first but once we got him potty trained it's been a blast. I work from home and he is my constant compainion; We spend all day together every day. He is so "my dog".

I don't know what happened in that shelter down under, and I don't know what their laws and rules are there. Did they really kill the dogs because they didn't want people handling the dogs to travel, or is this a case where they had too many dogs and they had to put them down and a local animal lover is being misleading about what actually happened?

I am sure most countries are like the US; We always have more dogs than people willing to take them in.

Does it really matter? Because the last I checked shelters didn't euthanized dogs by gun shot.
