    [PIC] Tupac in 1988...

      It is old. NYC is nothing like that anymore. Hard to find vacant lots and urban decay like that anymore. Bittersweet memories. Rougher times, but the culture born out of that... no words to describe it. And it's gone. The essence anyway.

      Either way, looking at that dude born in the same hospital I was born in, raised in some of the same hoods I made moves in, with the stereotypical black boombox and everything... then to see him turn around and get influenced to abandon his own coast and flare up a manufactured rap beef that made him pretend himself to his real death... Misguided clown. Somebody took advantage of his passion in the worst ways and he let them for some clout.

              Yeah it just seems like it's from the 70s or something and not late 80s. Maybe it's the cars considering they may be 10-15 yrs old.

                                      N4S is def not fatfoo. though no disrespect to ff/his bot. he wrote excellent haikus, however unintentionally

                                      man, NYC raised me culturally. the immense talent and energy and speaking to our lives helped shape me, pretty fundamentally. hopefully in a good way

                                      I'm not a city girl anymore, into living in small walking towns but that city...so much history and where legends were born

                                      maybe as an outsider I still see the magic. still meaningful. granted my last visit was 5 yrs ago

                                      back to the legends, often with Carib roots that spanned the world
