You're probably getting this impression because you were reading some other forum which is geared towards non-adult affiliates and media buyer affiliates.

It's actually the opposite in the adult affiliate world. Revshare is still the standard here. There are thousands of active porn paysite and webcam programs with revshare as their primary affiliate program.

Affiliates who are only interested in CPS (which we actually call PPS in our corner of the internet) or CPL, are media buyers probably. They are spending lots of money every day to buy traffic and send to programs. They want to be able to measure their success instantly with a 100% accuracy, and get a quick payout to reinvest in buying traffic.
Revshare is the long game. With revshare you don't know your exact earnings per click for your traffic after each day, so it's not for media buyers.

Classic adult affiliates, who own their own websites, usually prefer Revshare or PPS, and often aren't interested in CPL at all.

Anyway, cam sites often have both Revshare, CPS, and CPL, as they are promoted by a diverse group of affiliates, with different kinds of traffic. Same for dating. These products are basically on the border of the two affiliate worlds - mainstream and adult.
