If you were here in Brazil you could buy one bottle of pinga (cachaça) [1 litre] for just US$ 1,00 -$2,00. It's our national drink, and you can even make caipirinhas with it ! heheh (pinga + ice + lemon + sugar)

Research the old prohibition days. I'm sure you can find the ingredients and directions to make bathtub booze. All it takes are potatoes and prob some common things like sugar and such. Back then they made booze in their tubs at home. lol

Hard cider is fairly easy to make as is most kinds of wines.

They ship all around the world via Fedex, but the site is only in portuguese, since its for brazilians living in other countries. I thought they had a english version too, but I can't find it.

Yep been there quite a few times. Probably spent about six months there 2 years ago at TV Globo, DirecTV and shit don't remember the name of the station now. Was in Rio for New Years 1999.

I like Sao Paulo, it is a big city but the people are very friendly and the women are beautiful. Next to Venzuala, probably the best I've ever seen. Or had the pleasure to be with. Only problem, too much traffic.

Well, there's isn't much open TV stations here...
Manchete (now its Rede TV, had this name in 1999), SBT, TV Cultura, Record, Bandeirantes (Band), Gazeta CNT (only Gazeta now, my college is in the same building). The other ones are cable or satellite. TV Globo is one of the biggest of the world.

I've been in Rio only once, last february. Other time I was in an island in Rio state. Nice city too, but I prefer here to live.

When I first got to Brasil the rate was real close to 1:1. It took a big dump and was probably somewhere near 1:1.75 when I left. I lost some money in that but nothing too serious. Just made sure I spent all my reals before I came back. Rede TV was the other station that I spent a lot of time with. I know TV Globo is one of the largest in the world. Great people there too.

I was really shocked when I talked to people there, they all were so friendly but all seemed to say that they hate Americans, well except for me. They all loved me.

No, I don't remember much of my Portuguese but I know it would come back to me pretty quick if I was around it again. And I know I could still get laid in Sao Paulo. Anyone reading this, believe me, BRASIL IS THE EASIEST PLACE ON EARTH TO GET LAID. So all you virgin fucks who can't get a peice of ass for anything, pack your shit up and head for Brasil, especially during Carnaval. lol Most of you probably couldn't get laid there either.

Buy a six pack of the good stuff, then buy a case of Schlitz or the equivalent [insert your $1.50 case-of-warm-not-even-good-enough-for-the-freezer-at-7-11 beer] and drink that after you have deadned your taste buds.

That will get you through the afternoon. Then do it again that evening and you should have a pretty good buzz...

Fuckit - why am I in here and not working?

CD's patented homemade wine recipe --

Go to grocery store
Buy ripest fruit they have, in quantity
Take fruit home, any type will do as long as it is ripe!
(In this recipe, "fruit" does not = "homo")
Put your biggest pot on top of stove
Fill 3/4 with filtered water, or cleanest water possible
Get that water to boil (turn on top element to do this)
While you wait for water to boil, you cut up fruit
Remove seeds, pits, cores and/or stems
Put fruit pieces in a clean pillow case (I mean fucking CLEAN pillow case)
Once water boils, dip pillow case of fruit into boiling water.
Boil fruit for 45 minutes, stirring and mashing with big metal spoon
After 45 minutes of mash & boil, shut off heat and let fruit cool overnight.

Morning time --
Lift out pillow case and wring out all juice possible back into pot. (wash all the jizz from those filthy hands of yours first)
You should now have a pot very full of concentrated fruit juice, very tastey.
Pour this juice into a big very clean plastic container, 5 gallon pail preferably
Put smaller pot of water to boil on stove
Melt a few cups of sugar into hot water, preferably fructose
Once sugar-water is clear (sugar is melted fully) pour hot sugar water into the fruit bucket too
Now you need a packet or two of "Champaigne yeast". Sprinkle champaigne yeast over top of the fruit juice in bucket
Cover bucket, but you must poke a small hole in top at least, to let off the pressure from fermenting process
(note: do not forget to poke hole, or bucket lid will blow off in night time and cause you to shit in your bed)
Wait for up to 6 weeks, then you need to filter your wine.
(warning: do not light match near or around the wine bucket at this time)
You can filter the wine using big glass jugs and something your wine store will call "finings" that will settle out your wine and make cleaning easy. Otherwise, you can filter it through cheesecloth like some people do.

After wine is in glass and, while you hold glass up to the light it looks nice and clear, then it is time for you to drink and get shit-faced

This recipe should yeild 15 - 20 good-sized bottles of high-potency wine that is not only good, but good for you heee

okay, ahem.... How does the us-brazil exchange rate compare with that of us-canadian?

Right now for each U.S. dollar that I make, I can exchange it for $1.53 Cdn. That last bulk $2500 payment from Europe (in american funds) was, at the time I exchanged it, worth nearly $3800 bucks Cdn. If I had've exchanged it a few days earlier it would have been nearly $3900. It's so excellent living in Canada and being able to take advantage of the exchange rate. How is it for you in Brazil?

make some party mix like we do when we go tailgating. it last us a few hours...should last you a year

get a clean never used trash can

about 40 gallons

fill it half way with ice and water

and 6-10 bottles of everclear, 3 of vodka and 3 of rum. then add 5 containers of kool aid

stir

then dump in more ice/water
top it off with lots of cut up fruit
like apples, pineapple, grapes and such...

basically for 150 bucks or so you have 40 gallons of alcohol that'll get you and your closest 50 friends all nice and drunk.

malt liquor is cheeper and contains more alcohol content than beer

get either a bottle of Brasso (brass polish) or shoe polish.
Spread over a slice of bread and leave overnight.
Scrape polish off the bread.
Eat the bread.
I think Brasso works best.

Not sure if Yagermiester is too much $$, but a few shots and you will be good to go!
