in 2020 i got a new gaming laptop to replace my 6-year-old laptop and it was so fast that I wished I had upgraded 3 years ago. I love SSD!

I keep most of my important stuff on external drives and upgrade externals every 2 years. never had one die on me

I remember the first time my PC died. This was back in the day when we built our own computers and I was in way over my head. I think I was trying to upgrade my hard drive or add another hard drive. This was back in the day when everything was complicated. I had go back to my computer guru, the guy who built my computer for me...

Sigh. Those were the good old days.

I used to have a huge Alienware laptop. It was fucking massive. I took it to Europe for a two week trip and.... Never again. Now I am into smaller laptops. I've had a few Surface Pros, and then moved into their laptops.

Make sure you don't get a 4K screen. It sucks on a laptop and no programs are written to support it so Windows tries to work around it and it just plain sucks. Especially in Photoshop.
