Thats a snook, that one was 26.5 inches, 7 pounds. Very regulated fish, it has to be a min of 26 inches to keep and no more than 34 inches, and the snook season closes June and re-opens in Sept.

I go hunting for redfish, snook, pompano, flounder and snapper.

I gave up women last year and took up fishing, and FM got me a little boat that I can manage myself, so its wonderful!

YOu freshwater fishing for bass? I love the sport :-)

How ironic is that?! Just last week I was in Ponce Inlet!! We rented a house there on the beach...a few houses past the stop sign on the left. The beach there is amazing!! The boys from the office took a guide/5 hr trip at the marina right there by the lighthouse. Coast guard wouldnt only allow 6...so I went shopping ;) We are going out this weekend for Bass. The lake we are on is a private lake, so its mainly for boating. But a few miles away is one of the top fishing lakes in Texas! We have every kind of lure & pole known to mankind & we are bound & determined to catch something!!! Got any secrets???

Hey Lee, actually they changed the season. May is closed as well. Which is about the best month to catch them at the beach. That bobber that I was telling about is the Cajun Thunder Equalizer. I highly recommend it. It makes it much easier to hook them. I'm going to play golf and fish this weekend. I'm sure I'll toss quite a few cold ones back as well.

May Snook closure for only for some Counties in Fla [Gulf, Monroe County & Everglades Natl Park], all other Counties are open season until June 1.

Your right, they are coming into spawn and I hope to be back on another one this weekend until the season ends! Thought I had me a big bull red at first until it jumped, then the shit was on, he lost :-)

Thanks for the bobber info, will be on the lookout for it! If you catch some good fish, come back and post them :-)

YES! YES! YES!

I cannot believe you fished there! You must have gone out deep? The intercoastal way [Halifax] branches off into so many little coves, I found this cool cove lat weekend, and of course nailed the Snook and a red there too.

AWESOME!

Your fishing freshwater, thats lure country and do try live bait! Your fishies are not full of teeth like our saltwater are.

Damn, wish I knew you all were in town, I could have come and visited you, you were about 45 mins away from me. Could have taken you out and put you on some fish!

Wife got the RV, so that ended that toy, and I got into fishing since I live within 30 miles of the ocean, and I LOVE IT!

Don't get me talking about this sport, it tickles me to no end.

I am so happy for you both! Do send pics as you catch keepers.

MY plans:

If it stops raining, I plan to throw on some camo's and paint pr0 red, one ball at a time. I have a stash of 3500 paintballs, each one capable of leaving a welt the size of a chip ahoy!

I'm one badass paintin' mother fucker.

Maybe the Party Goat can make an appearance?

BUY MY CONTENT!

Yah about 5 feet long.. rotor blades are 550mm each.. so total span of about 1.3 meters when you take the hub into account..

wow, your lucky it's not closed in May over there. I thought it was for the whole state. Good luck this weekend. I'm going Tarpon fishing in the morning. I hope to get a few Cobia as well. The sharks are all over the mouth of the bay. I'm sure a few of them will hit my Tarpon baits. Have a great weekend.
