Should be but unfortunately, for the most part, people suck.

So, taking a moment out of one day of the year to remind people that as of right now, we only have one planet and if we fuck that up we probably don't get another chance, is still worthwhile.

to me this is different, I am an environmental engineer, just as my wife, my kids love Nature, we are a 'green family' [w/o the vegan bullshit ] and most of our friends we spend time with are thinking / acting the same way, so.. For us, every day is Earth Day

If people really cared about the earth they would stop doing business with countries that have no environmental policy.

We cry for the earth yet we still send our manufacturing to China for cheap labor and no real environmental regulations. They were wearing masks in China way before we were... not for a virus but from the poor air quality.

So, and I mean no offense, until we stop supporting countries that over pollute, all this is just catch phrases and empty gestures by the rest of the world.

Yes, China is not just a polluter , but also human rights violator and virus producer lately. But problem is greedy western companies, they would always go for greed no matter what.

I always like to pick up rubbish off the street and car parks, where i walk and put rubbish in the bin, sadly, it´s all going to be put in a huge hole and fill the world anyway

I totally agree... As long as someone is making money.... it can kill people as long as they put a warning on it.

Prime example - Tobacco.

Another pharmaceutical medications. See what happens if you have a reaction (one of the side effects)... if it's on the warning label... they cannot be held responsible even if it kills you. Why do you think that some of the warning say "Can cause death". You can even hear them say it in their television commercial warnings.

i didn't know that till it happened to me. The Doctor said it was the safest of all of that type of medication. I was the rare one that had a reaction that put me in the hospital and almost killed me.

No legal recourse... what happened to me is a known side effect.

Greed ruins everything.
