Has anyone tried intalling PostmarketOS on their phone?

I was going to buy a new pinephone but I'm wondering
if the smarter approach might be to just take a new
    android and gut the OS.

Yeah, but I wasn't planning on coding an entirely new operating system.

Just because I stink at coding (and have zero interest) doesn't
mean I'm stuck in the dark ages. Although, I actually would prefer
      living in the medieval era.

Take a look at the pixel 4a. I switched to that from a top end Samsung. Great experience, up-to-date (Latest Android OS) and great battery life and SUPERB Camera.

Only 250 new... Phone 100% Backed up to cloud, so even if I lost the phone, I could grab another for 250 and be back to normal without breaking a sweat.

          I like Postmarket OS

But the selection of phones a running Postmarket are limited.

I'm not really sure why someone who isn't tech savvy would install a mobile OS that's only real purpose right now is testing and optimization for real world usage.

But I'm also not really sure why someone would go on an "internet marketing" forum to ask for phone advice, yet here we are.

Likely it's like having a fart, in this case a brain fart. You could hold and save it for later, when you find a more appropriate place to release or share it, but you figure, YNOT, let it rip, and see if anyone picks up the scent or sense to reply.

I did the same by posting here comments and questions about stock investments made, instead of registering on a investment/gambling forum.
