    Any daytraders out there?

    I've been making some serious coin daytrading lately... am I just lucky? Is it a fluke? Or can I quit my day job? Anyone got a story to share? Just curious.

              well fine then.

              I've been heavily weighted with cell phones for the past two and half years. They've done well for me.

              Cisco had done really awesome. Now it's "on sale" - at 20 a share - it's an awesome buy.

              I do some short term buy and sell...
              rang across spde and hele for that. hele has got a really easy going cycle. I think they are a parent company to a comsmetics outfit. Dont' know shit about the management/company (aside from what you might have heard. It's not true ;-)

              But the trend is really easy to spot.

                  As soon as you quit your regular job, you will start losing money. There is alot more pressure.

                  My advice: don't think in terms of money, as soon as you start thinking about making $1200 to buy a sofa, the sofa ends up costing $6200 because you tried to stretch a winning trade out for more than it was worth.

                      hi guys,

                      I've generally been playing with palm and handspring, plus a few semiconductors and petro stocks. They bounce around so much, and if you sit there and watch, the highs and lows see pretty easy to spot. I'm not greedy, and I'll sell if it moves up half a point in a day. Buying in 1-2k share lots, that's given me plenty of mad money.

                      I'm afraid of Cisco, especially since that $2.25B charge. I know some investment houses are giving it a thumbs up, but its too spec. for me... good luck with it though! I'll look at those others.
