I went in a shop today without my mask on!

Here in Spain, we´re all very hot on it, asap to getting out of the car, if not mask, fines are given.

I did forget once, on the door to lidl, the cashier pointed to her face, I said sorry and run back to the car with my hand over my face and put it on immediately, everyone reminds everyone if they forget, here

I get warns all the time when i forget to put a mask its for all safety. My practice is to not wear it when there is noone near me

Honestly - this seems ok and normal to you? Running around outside with your hand over your mouth so someone standing outdoors, 20 meters away from you doesn't catch covid from you? You've been heavily conditioned at this point if you are covering your mouth with your hand.

While I'm against it, I even understand inside a store, whatever, but outdoors is sick. We have that law here too - I don't wear it outdoors, and the fine is unconstitutional here.

I went to the mall the other day and forgot my mask. Went in through Boscovs, went down an escalator to the men's section quick and was browsing around feeling like everybody was staring at me. Couldn't figure out why. I mean, I know I'm a handsome muh fucka, but I don't usually get stares like that. Felt myself getting irritated. Left out of Boscovs to the rest of the mall and then it hit me. Felt a little too free. Felt that cool mall breeze across my face I haven't felt in a while. Nobody said shit, but I went back in through Boscovs at a brisk pace, left out the door I came in, grabbed my mask from my jeep and went back into the mall through a different entrance like nothing happened.

Enjoyed the rest of my day.

I wear a mask, it's not a big deal. I've forgotten it a few times. I go back and put it on. I'm vaccinated but still don't want to carry the virus to get someone else sick. Probably wear it for a while, can't hurt. We hardly had a flu season this year because of masks. If you want to make a statement about masks that's fine. Maybe you will get lucky and stay healthy. Maybe.

I wear it to save some busy body from being punched in the nose. I live 30 miles outside of the city, there are plenty of places I go where people aren't wearing them and don't fear being harassed. But I wear it for that one I know won't like getting in my face.

I don't think that would be the case. Given that surgical masks filter up to 300nm, so much bigger then both, and many people wore cloth masks that filter even less realistically, it stands to reason that masks are even more ineffective at filtering the flu then COVID. Increased hand washing and disinfection as well as social distancing would logically also defend against both.

Here in Czech Republic it is compulsory here everywhere inside and outside. More then 60 % do not bother. Yesterday, I went to have a new battery installed, maybe 10 mechanics coming and going NOT a single mask, and when I asked, I was told :" We do not bother here" . Right now the Czechs are worse in the World on per capita "everything". 16,000 new cases 250 dead and 9,000 in hospitals in the last 24h all is collapsing but the idiots do not give a shit other then protesting for their fucking freedom to die and infect others. It is soul crushing

I had to pop in to go get a new pack of masks. I explained to the security guy and he was very good about it - he just gave me one of theirs and asked me to wear that. Good lad

Why is it soul crushing when masks have been proven time and time again to do nothing? Fauci in the US said not to wear masks, they do nothing. Many studies show they do nothing. American CDC recently even said that they have very little effect on COVID infections. Poland government said not to wear masks they do nothing. Then they decide everyone must wear masks, even cloth ones are good. Now suddenly cloth ones do nothing and everyone must wear medical masks - all the while virus is 1/3rd the size of minimum filtration of medical mask. Where is credibility if for 1 year cloth mask is ok but suddenly it is not? It is all a fucking joke. I'm not even saying as some conspiracy to "dehumanize" etc, I honestly thing some politicians and their friends are making money from selling masks. If someone coughs on your medical mask, even if virus does not immediately penetrate then it will be sitting there in water mist and it will pass mask from suction when you breath.

It is a virus, not radiation.

Mask is great if you are sick. If you sneeze, cough, etc it stops so much of the "mist" from escaping and travelling. However, if you are not sick, you are not sneezing and coughing then it is really doing nothing. Studies have shown that people with no symptoms do not spread the virus. Everyone has seen all the gifs and videos of "how masks protect everyone" - think about what you are looking at - a thermal camera. It is very obvious when you breath out the air heats up.

For years we have all lived without masks, flu existed, people coughed, people touched things, we washed hands much less frequently. This is all going to end with common cold killing people because we will not have immunity to anything.

Just live like normal human and not in fear, running to car in shame covering your mouth with hand because you forgot piece of useless cloth to cover your healthy mouth.

I like to wear a cheap and smelly mask...
