SEO - Adult site network owner

    Hey, hope all is fine

I need your advice regarding managing multiple adult sites in a very similar niche and the SEO linking under the individual porn sites.

How you manage your Site network?
Link all pages among each other?
Do you host all your adult sites with different Hoster?
What should be my link strategy between my porn sites?

How should I manage my SEO for all pages, can I link them to each other ore could it have a big bad effect on my adult site network.

I am grateful for any help, my porn site network currently consists of 3 sites with traffic. Another 6 are in planning and will be slowly implemented over the next 6 - 12 months

You dont gain seo advantages by linking your own sites, sometimes to the contrary, but obviously you can pass around clicked traffic.

You dont need different hosters - but unique IPs help, though it is debated if they make much difference anymore

Generally though, you want incoming links from quality places that are not your own ... quality over quantity when building - relevant links preferably - social signals where possible - variety in linking methods etc....

AdultList.com - Directory Listings, Advertisements, Hardlinks

Loasex.com - Directory and old school TGP - taking submits

If you can afford to host those websites on different hosting providers, feel free to do so, it wouldn't harm.

With the introduction of CDN sites such as CloudFlare, owning websites on different C-class IPs does not make much sense anymore. As long as you are not using the same whois info and literally the same template/layout, you can treat those websites as if they were owned by different people. As simple as that.

I could not agree more. Hinc was very right - you should always prefer quality over quantity.

Speaking of links - contextual links are by far the best. But if you can't do that, try to keep linking from the main pages if possible. Sitewide linking is something that I don't recommend too often. But at times even such linking have its own benefit.

Though I've been very busy lately, feel free to hit me up on PM if I could help with any other advice. Sharing is caring!

Hello, first thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it

I am clear that I need quality links from my niche I´m always taking care of it. BUT in case I own 5 sites in this niche (sub-niche) all with strong links, every site has an average of 200.000+ Organic visitors per month and is growing well.

Now I´m starting my 6 sites in this niche with the main focus of a sub-niche. The domain is aged some content is live and we start to buy the first links from other adult sites. Now my new site starts to rank and the first traffic comes in. Now in 2 weeks cycle I will link from one of my 5 sites to my new site, besides still further links are bought from foreign strong sites.

So, I could give a new site up to 5 strong and niche targeted links for free of charge, next to the links that are purchased from me regularly.

This would save me several thousand every year which I would have to pay annually for hardlinks.

Do I think wrong with this basic idea?

It actually sounds reasonable to me, but I´m feeling that everyone says "NEVER LINK BETWEEN YOUR SITES!!" :D

I think it's best to be honest about linking to your own sites. I don't think you will get penalized so long as you are honest about it being your 'network'. For example, I doubt if Google penalizes PornHub for linking to RedTube etc. Also if they are sufficient quality. The reason why 'Private Blog Networks' got downgraded by Google was because the standard practice was having lots of your own spammy sites linking to your breadwinner site.

I have a related question - if you have several or more sites on one webhost, in order to save disk space, is it a good idea to embed a video from one of your sites on your other sites, rather than having to upload the same video multiple times? And how do you link to the video path - through the domain of your site that it is hosted on, or the server directory path?

You could use symlinks to point several subdomains to the same folder. But I wouldn't be doing this in the first place, it will be duplicate content.

Agreed - nothing wrong with openly declare "These are my 6 sites" - and it might even help a bit on the seo front for the newer/weaker ones, but internal linking between your sites should basically be irrelevant to your seo strategy (while your spreading-the-traffic strategy might depend on it of course). For linkbuilding you probably wont be penalized by those internals between your sites - but they wont count as positively as one might hope either - for that you need external quality sources.

if you want to get SEO benefit from linking your own sites together you need to work very hard. there can't be anything to make your sites look like clones of each other. google looks at all kinds of things -- hosting provider, are they using the same script or HTML or CSS or JS, domain registrar and contact info, google analytics accounts, the date the sites are made, the niche/content of the sites...anything you can think of that might indicate to google the sites are basically clones of each other, you can be sure they're looking at it. Your job is to convince google your sites aren't clones of each other.

Once your sites are "associated" in googles eyes they tend to perform as a unit -- a backlink to one seems to affect the others as well, if one gets penalized they all get penalized at the same time, and google usually pick one or two domains to be the "canonical" version and rank in SERPs while the others all struggle. So at this point there probably is no benefit to interlinking them because google obviously knows they're basically the "same" site anyway -- google already sees them as linked, regardless of whether there's an actual backlink.

so if i make copy's of websites and change css names etc. java files names etc. if use same hosting but unique ip's on same or different c-class it does not guarantee that those sites will be "associated" ?
