What video card do they have? If it's an nvidia you want a g-sync monitor not freesync.

        Nvidia RTX 2070 it is.

Yeah, i guess I have pasted the Freesync wrong from some place else.

And the monitor would be this:

I'm curious if that kind of Nvidia would run modern games on i7-9700KF on 2k or 4k monitor instead, 16GB RAM?

i have 2 acer predator screens, had another acer 24inch 3d screen a few years ago. good brand imo.
as k0nr4d said, get something with gsync if you want top quality. but i would just try to find something a bit bigger. 24 inch is tiny...

Before buying a Monitor, try to check how many FPS you are getting in your game.

If you gets 250 FPS, I believe that getting a 144 Hz Monitor makes no sense. I mean, you need a 240 Hz Monitor to get the max out of your setup. With a 144 Hz Monitor, you are leaving FPS on the table.

That said I need to figure out if more Hertz are better for the eyes or not. Some people say more Hertz are easier on the eyes, and other people say exactly the opposite.
