Let's pretend for a minute that there is no vaccine

So we still have trials maybe, but they don't expect any approval or rollout until the end of the year at the earliest.

How do you think this year would pan out in that scenario ?

(Not political and not interested in any vaccine theories), but how would you expect 2021 to go if we still had no vaccine any time soon. Even though it's still gonna take months to even get everyone vaccinated and done properly for those who should technically get it before others.

Speaking from somewhere still in total lockdown...

    I'm a lockdown lover so I don't care much about vaccines . . .

Spain has closed any social areas, bars and restaurants. We go out, we wear masks and stay distant from people, the virus is low and hopefully will be zero again very soon in the Orihuela coast.

Were not locked down, but we have to be careful and respect the virus and people...

The government is speaking about keeping holiday makers out of Spain , this would help here, but obviously everyone will moan about it, but it´s the only way to keep the area clean

This is the new normal and all the vaccines in the world are not going to make things go back to the way they were.

It depends how far people want to go. There are people that want to stay in lockdown for years. Probably getting paid cause of a government job and they get their 2000 euro a month anyway.

On the other hand the people who are not afraid cause they are young, or have much more to lose like their businesses and are more afraid being the rest of their in big debts without any future.

i would say, let everyone decide if they want to stay inside or outside. As long as hospitals can be open. But that is the trick, in Holland they should have opened a special corona hospital the last months. They didn't. They didn't even research if you can get it licking a doorknob, taking a glass etcetra. So, protect the elderly (if they want), let the rest live their life.

For me doesn't matter much, we are working online. But if i saw my business destroyed cause some people want to lockdown everything and i don't get compensation. Well, than there is nothing left to lose. So i would rob the tax agency with some tricks and compensate myself. And than hide somewhere. There could be clashes between vaccinated and non vaccinated people and lockdowners and freedom fighters.

It is good there are different group that keep criticizing the government. In 1 day 2 specialist said 2 different things. Looks like most really don't know.

I know many people that got corona and nothing bad happened. Must they be locked up also? Who decides who is being locked up? Do we need an Auschweiss? I think people will rebel.

          everything is fake

See i personally haven't been affected work wise but my wife owns a hair salon so it's fucked her business big time. We have no idea when she will re-open. We are thinking likely April. Which would suck balls...

              - Amazon and big tech get richer.

              - Populations split in two those who submit and those who resist.
I see this in fishing groups already those who say fuck it just go fish you're not going to get in trouble and those who tell them they're complete arseholes for going fishing and should follow the rules.

              - Civil War in the US
At this point I think its inevitable or at least texas + Florida and maybe a few others succeed from the union.

              - China gets way way stronger

I don't understand why in the UK they don't recommend people to wear a mask in the street.

We don't know if vaccines are effective at all in the long run, and numbers are climbing each day. The best prevention proven method is wearing a mask, washing your hands and keeping a safe distance.

It's probably the only country in the world where you can watch a live webcam of the street and you see people walking without a mask. It really makes no sense.

Makes sense. I also don't go to crowded places, but not gonna wear a mask if I am in an empty park

I think if the United States was able to have a very strict lock down AND enforce it... We might be able to beat this.
