Emirates airlines According thier milles points system

hey guys is this common on all airlines or just in emirates airlines.

i have milles valued 800usd and i want to transfer to a friend but i was shocked and they charge me same value of milles which is another 800USD to make it.

i had to paid it to transfer milles successfuly. but i haven t.

and i was likewhat da fuck????? Why are they even doing it.

even dumbest person in this earth wouldn t do it

i had 800usd milles and when i want transfer it required me to pay 800usd, i found it very misleadling and absoluty fraud.

where is da logic here ? give or transfer a giving gift and pay double amount of gift? sensless.

that s very disappointing and i am astonished by this tactic ...

EITHER THEY MUST REMOVE IT OR FIX IT BECAUSE IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

It has been my experience that the airlines charge excessive fees when transferring miles. It might not be fair, but we accepted their conditions when signing up for their mileage programs.

Here is what I found searching Google:

        https://www.emirates.com/english/sky...ut/points.aspx

Transfer your Skywards Miles for less

If you can’t quite reach a particular reward, transfer your Skywards Miles to family or friends so you can combine them in one account and make your Miles go further. You can transfer Miles at a cost of USD 15 per 1,000 Miles and you can transfer up to a maximum of 50,000 in a year.
"The time men spend in trying to impress others they could spend in doing the things by which others would be impressed."

            This is very common.

In some cases it's still worth it.
For example many times I had almost enough points for a return business class ticket, but was short some points. Then I gladly pay a couple of hundred dollars to transfer points from my wife's account to mine. So I basically get the ticket for the money I paid for the miles I transferred.
