I rode one today for the first time and LOVED it.

But I know fuck all about them. Any thoughts people..... I'm leaning towards a 2004- 700 polaris 4X4

Im also looking into one.

Looking at the big jobs though ... mostly for hunting, puttin around the woods, and attaching a plow for snow.

Not really looking to go crazy fast.

Yes you should have a quad. What real Canadian doesnt have some sort of ATV to get around.

I'm not big into hunting. I don't need to go wicked fast. I just want something to have fun on and use an excuse to go outside more often. I'm deciding between the 400 and 700 right now

I use to RIDE them a few years ago...saw two people doing 50 and hit head to head ,one died...gave it up the next day

but yeah the big ones just for getting around on are harmless and fun... go for it..make sure it's a kawasaki though

Do you know the difference between 500 and 700 series?

Is it a horsepower thing? Torque? Weight capasity? Anything specific?

I cant imagine them going TOO fast, even at the top level.

Funny you say that. Although i do have a "real job", i plan to let my internet income buy me my new toy.

Thats why i dont have it yet, im still a bit short ... its fine though, gives me a good goal.

they are the same size - one just has a single cylinder moter and the other a twin

the dealer told me i could rent them for a weekend and see what I liked. I got a wedding this weekend but i reserved them for next weekend. I'm gona give them one hell of a test drive. I just bought my dad's gravel pits from him (he needed money) so it'll be fun to go see them and play on the gravel piles with the 2 quads I'm renting.
