    Did you guys see the Gold's Gym announcement that they are opening up on 28th of December?

    Are all the gyms opening or Gold's Gym is the only one?

    I heard things should get worse soon with the lockdown, idk how they are going to operate.

                                                  I've counted this year among the people I know 50 people that got contaminated... and I have only 1 friend that diead (last week RIP :/) and he was in very average health condition.

                                                      a limit to those in the gym and the equipment will need moving further away than usual also, but it´s all possible.


                                                      We´ve got a very clean area here on the Orihuela costa, it´s all because we, the public kept to the rules and continue to stay distant, respect one another and always wear masks and clean with gels and cleaner products, not bleach lol

                                                                                                  Breathing thru a mask gives you a better workout when breathing is more difficult. The percentage of oxygen is the same either way.

He's wearing some crap fabric mask with big gaps at the top to let in air. It probably doesn't restrict his air that bad but it's not blocking or filtering shit either. Completely pointless. The only masks that actually do anything are the N95 (rare) or the surgical mask when properly fitted tight around the nose (which nobody does).

It makes smaller droplets. Small droplets float more and thus it actually increases spread. Garbage masks are actually doing more harm than good.

                                                                                                                                          No not all gyms are opening. The current state pandemic regulation says that gyms can operate outdoors. Chains like Gold's and Equinox (the two that I've heard of) have began opening outdoor spaces at locations where they could get the space.

                                                                                                                                                      In OC Golds doesn't exist anymore....they were taken over by LA Fitness which is shut down. 24 Hr is shut down here also, they filed BK but were still operating and now totally shut down. We were fine when they allowed OC to operate gyms, 20% capacity and masks mandatory.

                                                                                                                                                      People say working out at home is fine but many people including the elderly rely on the gym or their activity. I went everyday or every other day to improve my health and maintain....since the shit got shut down I've been working out at home and has 2 injuries since (damn, first time on this board was in my 20s now 40s)

                                                                                                                                                      Working out at the gym is a healthy lifestyle for many in this area, and naturally great for the immune system. Shit is draconian when so many were fine social distancing and masking up....

And I don't know about in the US but try getting home gym equipment now in the UK - what isn't out of stock is sky high in price.

                                                                                                                                                          I had a Concept 2 rowing machine at home that I sold just before the pandemic because the gym has brand new ones so I didn't need mine. That worked out well for me.....

They think they are sneaky and cover up the windows as if no one will know.

I've used oxygen restricted masks when training for triathlons at higher elevations.
