The DMCA law didn't change so I imagine they (and everyone else) are still covered by it. This is probably a reaction to what's happening with PornHub. Everyone contracts with bad news the way stock markets do ... then they come out of their shells again when things look safe.
I noticed the download missing yesterday. Also I've been cleaning some of my aggregator sites and xHamster has purged a huge amount of videos too along with Pornhub.
I make more money from xhamsterpremium than PHprem. & I appreciate the extra traffic from xhamster with the use of the banner link below each of my vids, with the non download function and the limited uploading atm, this is all great news
