    Air M1 and Photoshop?

    Hey Guys!

I've been working on my Macbook Air ( early 2015 ) using external 1920 x 1080 monitor. So far so good.

But it seems like it's time to get a new M1 based Air, so, I recall working on my older air ,that has 1440x900 screen res, and it wasn't any comfortable. There was always too little of screen estate to put objects into... but now, with retina, I'm concerned about the physical screen size - I mean, there will be enough space but all the objects will be much smaller.

So, is it any comfortable to work on a such small screen with high pixel density? I think i might get at least a 2k res external monitor too.

Or should I save and get a Macbook Pro 16"?

I use correction glasses +1, in case it matters.

    What's your thinking?

    Thanks!

save and get a new machine, no matter Mac or Windows, there“s nothing like getting a new machine, the speed of a new machine with the latest equipment is phenomenal.

YOLO, spend the credit card if you need to, but get a sale in the BlackFriday month

Everyone I see raving about their capabilities are tied into Apple software (Final Cut Pro X). I would imagine that Adobe would have to optimize things for these processors before they're able to get the same sort of response out of them that Apple does.

Unless docked, I can't see either of these new models being ideal for any sort of creative work. They're small. And once you dock them, well...it's a desktop and you should have just bought a desktop. That's my take.

        Spend you some brain.

Well said. Aware of that. Mac Mini is better in regards to that. But it's pain to work on my old 1400x900 air when I travel

the new m1 macbook air and pro outperform a $16,000 mac pro when editing video using final cut in benchmarks, you will probably have to wait until adobe upgrades to support m1 if you use after effects, premiere, etc.

I would get the mini m1 with a nice 4k display

I read earlier that a compatible version of the adobe CS / CC suite, is going into beta.

Exciting to see what will happen over the next few revisions. Pretty impressive for a first generation. Also hope intel gets their head out of their ass and builds something super fast to compete.
