Gregpix charging for listing - good lord what next?

Gregpix no longer accepts submissions...you have to pay 20 a month to get your gallery listed...um lame.

definitely. When they get cocky and think they can do anything is when they fall. I just hope yahoo goes with them. I've got nethoo.com maybe I should get started now, just in case yahoo doesn't make it

Actually heh, my TGP is doing quite well...I never seem to have a problem with my galleries...the same people submit over and over and 9 times out of 10 they are quality galleries. I just cant believe he's charging for that...its like "You have to pay me to supply my site with content!"

Someone here posted the other day acting with that same cocksureness. It's called 1) GREED and 2)Ignorance (in some cases) 3) Immaturity (in some cases) 4) Business costs are too high to maintain the site, so grab at any straw you can get.

I love it when TGP's pull stunts like this one

Look at sublime and what happened to them

They have to come up with all kinds of crap just to maintain a decent amount of traffic.

Well when you think about it a TGP is nothing without galleries...I find it quite disturbing to charge for content he wouldnt have without all those people who make the galleries. No galleries = No traffic

I believe Wolfshade's talking about their policy of only listing galleries that put their sponsers on the gallery. ( I mean their sponsers, their code)

Supposedly it was to weed out some submissions, I guess it did.

Wolfshade it's not a stunt, it's actually very successful for them. You be suprised the amount of webmasters participating in their program. It saves them time and energy weeding through the cheaters and those webmasters who choose to get involved get excellant postions and alot of traffic :-)

It's a win/win if you ask me.

Hello, as you can see this is my 1st post in this board. I hope you'll welcome me too rude :-0 I've reading this board for a month but I think it's the time for some "serious postings" hehe. Damn, when I tried to submit to Gregpix and saw his new policy you can't imagine my fuck'n lang. This pay pay pay pay idea sucks. Yahoo sucks also. Let's say I have started an organization for cancer treatmeant and I try to raise money for this fucking almost uncured illness. Why do this organ/ion has to pay for getting listed in yahoo? This site doesn't deserve a listing there while the same directory lists innumerable useless and stupid pages at the same time. Unfortunatelly, some people forget how they started. When they become big they believe they rule the whole world. well Let's Kick Them n' Fuck Them!

I think it's a good idea, I hope others follow...It helps to make TGP posting more legit.

Because as it now anyone can steal a few pics, build a gallery, upload to a freehost, and they have no investment and therefore don't care as much about what 50 trillion free porn galleries do to a porn marketplace. People will think more about how, why, and what they are posting if it cost them a few bucks for the listing.
