Quick question for you Google PR gurus
I have this mainstream site, (a biz opp work at home type site), I have it had up for 2 years and barely do anything with it. I was checking it out earlier today and just realized it had a PR5. I go back later to find out it has a PR2. Im wondering, wtf? I realize that if I put the 'www' in front of the domain, then Im getting the PR5 rank, but without, the PR2. This to me, is gay. Why would Google not consider both, the same fucking site?

![]() I certainly don't fit the title of Google PR guru, but I would GUESS that it has to do with sites linking up with the www in there. I have a few mainstream sites where I see the same thing. (pr5 to pr2).
One would think that Google's algo would ignore the use of the www or not, but it would seem that it doesn't. I bet it has to do with the use of the third level importance. I'll be curious what others have to say about this. |

What google is doing is simply considering the site with and without the "www" as different websites. There is nothing wrong with this and should be considered this way because lots of people out there use various subdomains for different sites. It just so happens that with the www and without are pretty commonly the same site but this is not always the case.
For example: http://adultplatinum.com/ http://www.adultplatinum.com/ Two completely different sites... WG

Which means...promote the one with the PR5 as hard as you have been...and promote the PR2 version harder!
Or...try this...LINK TO YOUR PR2 from your PR5...huh? Figure that one out! If you smoked lunch, you should know what I'm talking about! ![]()
