Paxum / Unionpay Card - Can't pay for anything?

Hey guys.
Have you ever bought something online with the new Paxum cards (Unionpay)?

AliExpress - Nope
Namecheap - Sorry Dude
PayPal - We don't want your card here

What's the purpose of this piece of plastic, if I cannot do anything with it?

I hope at least atm withdrawal will work here in Germany. Going to try out tomorrow.

I know, my english is bad. But your german might be even worse

IMO the only purpose, is to withdraw cash from an ATM. Why else have it?

Yes it's mainly for ATM withdrawal. Online purchases, don't even think about it.

Only ATM here. I've sent email (and got a response) to a ministry of finance here. Asked them for a list of places where I can use Union Gay card. They told me what bank to contact for more info but I never did it.

Maybe I will do it tomorrow.

That's nuts.
One of the biggest e-commerce company in China doesn't trust the biggest chinese financial services corporation. Do Chinese people even can buy goods with this card?

Well, get cash and pay the fees then. Meh.

ATM...why would you use a card with zero fraud protection for anything else?

And why use the card? Wire that shit for $50 all at once.

I think card (SEPA, I don't use Unionpay card) is a bit cheaper for me.

Nobody mentioned the huge fees for ATM withdrawals even if you get the money directly in USD. I didn't requested it but they sent me the card anyway. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't use it or even activate it.
On the other hand can anyone confirm me that using SEPA card to withdraw in other currency has meanwhile become more pricy than it used to be few weeks ago? I got some cash in EUR three weeks ago and the Paxum gave me something like 0.814 EUR for USD even the official exchange rate from Mastercard (the card issuer) was over 0.85 EUR for USD on that day. And no, the bank ATM I've used has nothing to do with with this bad rate. They only charge a fixed commission if you choose to withdraw without conversion (which I did). So can anyone who regularly withdraw in EUR from SEPA USD card can confirm that the exchange rate offered by Paxum gotten worse lately?

When it comes to SEPA card and the exchange rate, it doesn't seem anything changed. I guess you know there is a 3% fee if you withdraw in other currency than USD.
