Getting fucked by Webair?

I made a deal a while back with Webair for a dedicated server.

yesterday, I been trying to get Postggre SQL put on my server and the techs email me back and tell me, I am on a virtual account and I have to have a dedicated account.

Like, I hope to god. This is a mistake and they aren't fucking me.

I can't get ahold of any of their tech support people and they keep closing my tickets.

I don't like taking shit like this to the boards.
But, being ignored is pissing me the fuck off.

Never had a problem with them over there..

I can almost assure you it was mistake by thier tech.

My tickets are usually answered same day, been with them over 2 years, have never had any major issues.

Used their virtual for a long time before I even went dedicated.

Solid host.

Ive had some really mind boogling requests with some scripts and db shit and the guys at Linq Hosting seem to knock it down in usually a day. Never had a problem with them. Happy as fuck!

Well, my biggest main bitch is.
If it is a mistake on their tech part. Thats fine.

Why do they keep closing my tickets and no one is hardly ever there on their live tech support.

I have sat thru most of last night waiting and all day today.
I call them and I get some shit. They'll call me back.
Only they never do.

So, I took it to the boards.

webair does well for us.

perhaps you should contact directly to try and resolve it before you talk trash?

I see why some hosts only take dedicated.. it's the 80/20 rule, the 20% who pay the least cause 80% of your headaches and support requests.

Why not ssh in and find out if its your box or not?

You should be able to tell...If there is a bunch of other virtual users...Do you not have root access?

If you don't have root access...Something ain't right...

Doesn't get any better then Rackspace period.

Hell, i can call support at 5am Christmas morning and a TECH will answer the phone ready to work. No having to page anyone, no bullshit "a-tech-will-call-you-back" type of deal, etc, etc.

If your looking for cheap, don't bother...Rackspace is not for you.

If you are looking for the most solid hosting around, and you value quality, then give them a call. 5 years now going strong and not once any problems. Any downtime i've experienced was because by my "wanna be admin" stupid ass.

i'm no hosting guru but i haven't seen many hosting companies that offer Postgre SQL as standard issue for virtual hosting customers.

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

I called them 24:00 new years eve and they picked up.
They were dissapointed i didnt have a support question.

Talking to rackspace tech support makes me feel like i own
the place.. that's how they treat you, ALWAYS.

If you dont want to bother calling and leave a support ticket
it's fixed within 1 hour. Period.

Their whole business model was build around support.

If you have rackspace hosting for one month the things you
read about hosting on GFY become unreal.

They cost a fortune but i wouldnt be here without them.

Hit Mike up on ICQ. I've been with Webair since 1998 and have never had issues. They're solid.

Mike will take care of it, and if you know the tech who's been closing your tickets make sure to tell him. He'll deal with it.

Rackspace is by far the best for support period.

I hate to be having the post this...

But Jeff is not on a dedicated box...

I looked thru it all and saw other virtual clients...As well as looked @ the httpd.conf and there is alot more domains then jeffs...

Also I put a request into a domain that is hosted on that box...Which Jeff does not own...To verify...As I always want to make sure I'm 100% correct...

And guess what...I pulled the http logs for that domain and guess what?
