Is there a cable or some type of connection so you can connect two sony camera together to copie dv tapes.. pain in the ass capturing whole tape to computer in avi format then putting back to other dv camera... Takes made harddrive space and time.. Any other solutions..

on the like trv10/11's i know you can switch the outputs to inputs, and vice versa, so you can record with it just like a vcr. done this before, so i imagine you could just output from one cam to the input on the other, and voila!

Sorry to say it but no, at least not for most older or normal consumer models. I racked my brain over this one last year. There are some cameras that can do this but I think Sony figured, "If we give them that option we can't sell our $799 mini-dv recorder/editor to them too!"

I was just thinking if I can use the rca type outs, or svideo outs on one to the in on the other it might work.. Ima run to radio shack and see what type of cables they got..
