Computer speakers under $200.

I'm looking for computer speakers that are under $200. Any suggestions?

I have Klipsch Promedia 2.1 now and had to get them replaced twice and the set I am on now is breaking.

What do you think of the Logitech's THX certified Z560 4.1?

It's at:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...tby=14&order=1

(it's the speakers that are $139)

Truth is you can get good computer speakers for under $50 even if you buy the right brand. I just had a set that I paid about $130 for quit working on me after a few months so I said screw it and bought some for $28 this time, Altec Lansings and while I'm happy to say they sound great, but sad enough they sound as good if not better than the ones I paid $130 for.

Kinda depends on what you want.. 2 piece for normal use, 3 piece for decent sound, 4 or 5 for Dolby Surround if you watch a lot of movies or play games.

Altec makes what I would consider the best bang for buck, if you want to pay a little more for better Dolby processing and more features, Boston, Polk & Cambridge all make great stuff.

I want something that sounds as good (or nearly as good) as my Klipsch Promedia 2.1's. Also, I want something taht is a 2.1 setup because I don't have the desk-room for 4 speakers.

Honestly,

If you want some of the best sounding computer speakers anywhere boston acoustics cant be beat for sound quality. I've had some nice BA pairs with seperate sub and surround sound for close to 5 years now and after hearing almost everything else available I still refuse to upgrade because I havent heard better.

I've got them. They sound really nice. Only shortcoming is no digital input, but I guess I've got the home theatre for that.

The sub is very nice, and for the price, they're untouchable.
