    goodbye astronomy and astro photography?

just ol musky is going to launch 40.000 satellites, bezos and the others will eventually do the same...

now get this...if a satellite malfunctions it takes 1-5 years to orbit down to earth and burn...with 100.000s of other satellites to hit, in this 1-5 year period, if it crashes with just 1 other, this will cause 1000s of other debris pieces and would trigger other collisions and so on...the sky could actually get so crowded that it becomes a mine field...the first few minutes of that gravity movie demonstrate well what would happen...

As doing astro photography myself - this sucks. Light pollution is already a big problem, but if they really are going to shoot thousands of satellites into the sky, you can dump your telescope. Some of them were already in my line of sight.
