this directory site offers link exchange, and adds your link to the page
allpornsites.net/partners

the page has
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow" />

i warned them and asked for an explanation, but response never came

I dont know for you but when you do link exchange then is assumed how it will be dofollow link, otherwise we would not do "link exchange" but traffic trading.

I've seen a lot of link farm sites with that exact same template. I don't know if it's all the same guy or in this case somebody has simply stolen the template.

I notice that there is a 'extreme porn' section there and he has linked to the infamous 'Best Gore' site. That's absolutely obscene.

right, but for experienced traders, we know that is not always the case. If you're trading dofollow links, with webmasters you dont know, you have to specify that it's a dofollow exchange, or not

If the link is sending actual clicks, it could be acceptable IF that's what you want.

If it's not sending traffic, there's no way it's acceptable in my opinion. The OP said it's not just nofollow, but also on a noindex page.
Nofollow links could be somewhat useful, but links on noindex pages are totally useless for SEO.

If it's a normal link exchange without any extra agreements, it's implied that the link's page can't be "noindex" and the link is dofollow, in my opinion.

Take a look at his 'extreme porn' top list. I don't mean click on any of the links because his descriptions (that display at the top via java script on mouseover) tell you enough.

Even if you have no moral qualms about getting links from this sick bastard who has a top list of 'real rape and murder porn', I would suggest from an SEO point of view, you actually ask to have your link taken down, nofollow or not, and linkfarm or not.

I must admit there was no explicit deal for "dofollow", but all my link exchange experience points to conclusion that it is implicitly understood.

Whenever someone wanted to give just nofollow link, it was stated in very clear way.

Anyway, other side didn't answer to my question on the subject, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a misunderstanding.

he told us (quotes from 2 seperate mails, but you get the gist):

"it has value also in the partners page google is crawling everything trust me

it is dofollow it doesn't matter that tag , it will send some value as well"

i am not going to judge if he severely misunderstood those tags, or this is intentional, but trading with them seems rather useless with this

I had a link at this site which looks very similar. I removed my link and checked the html code of their page with my link on it and not only do they have a nofollow link to mine, but it is cloaked as well (and the link appears in an iframe!).

There weren't any sick sites at least that I could see on that directory, which is a relief as I probably hadn't checked it properly when I added my site.

There is also a lot of VR porn link farms with the exact same template. I don't know if it is the same network.
