All paxum cards were issued by Wirecard Card Solutions that is located in UK and was suspended on Friday.

Steve G 06-28-2020 11:22 AM

Not all paxum cards. Some are issued thru Union Pay.

You are right. All paxum cards that stopped working were issued by Wirecard Card Solutions from UK.

UPDATE from FCA:

Quote:

Update 29 June

Following last week’s news of €1.9 billion missing from the accounts of the German company, Wirecard, we placed requirements on the firm’s UK business so that it should stop carrying out regulated activities and not pay out or reduce any money it holds. Our primary objective all along has been to protect the interests and money of consumers who use Wirecard.

Teams from across the FCA have been working with the firm, and other international and UK authorities, over the weekend, and we have seen good progress by the firm in meeting the conditions we set.

We are maintaining pressure on the firm to resolve these issues which would allow it to operate under certain conditions. However, we cannot lift the restrictions without reassuring ourselves that the firm has been able to satisfy all our concerns for example that all clients' money is safe. We hope to be able to issue an update soon.

lucas - excellent, thanks - it seems to be going in the right direction, maybe by the end of the week we'll have access to our funds.

Crazy thing is, as soon as that happens, people will race to remove their money before the firm is insolvent !! :)

FCA lifted the freeze:

Quote:

On 29 June 2020, the FCA provided written consent to allow Wirecard to resume issuing e-money and providing payment services. The restriction on activities will lift at 00.01 on 30 June 2020.

The primary objective of these requirements was to protect the electronic money funds of consumers in safeguarded accounts. It also had the effect of preventing consumers from withdrawing and making payments with those funds. The FCA’s consent means that Wirecard can now resume electronic money and payment services to its customers and customers can now, or very shortly, use their cards as usual.

@paxum Maybe do real KYC with your partners instead of annoying clients?

What should I do if I have e-money with Wirecard, use Wirecard to make payments or my prepaid card has stopped working?

Customers should now or very shortly be able to use their cards as usual.

I was doing some tests ~5h ago. Online it was working. ATM not working.

Looks like the ATM problem is not paxum related as users all around the wold are reporting that payoneer cards do not (always) work with ATM.

Here is the statement from payoneer:

Quote:

Just to clarify a bit. We have millions of customers in 200+ countries and territories, and are very closely monitoring our system. Overall we see successful transactions, however we do see some customer reports of issues and are investigating these with Mastercard and Wirecard.

brassmonkey 07-02-2020 12:22 AM

Skrill it’s not adult friendly

Tapaz 07-03-2020 06:19 AM

Is the card working intermittently for you? I tried to use it twice, once it worked and the second did not work.

webgurl 07-03-2020 06:54 AM

Paxum Chris what is the limit on the MC Paxum WC card, I am confused as it doesn't say anything within a limit in the Paxum account but I tried 4 ATMS and they all say "Your Bank" set a limit when i try to take out 3k?

Tapaz 07-03-2020 07:38 AM

@webgurl they have new limits to the atm now. It works with 100 EURO x withdrawal ( some bank set even a lower limit at 50 euro, and some bank does not take the card at all ). I think you need to go to atm several times to cash your money.

webgurl 07-03-2020 08:26 AM

I took over 2k just before the WC fiasco and 550 just couple days ago. I am really confused who is taking care of the support now with this issue?

550 in a single withdrawal? Today I can not withdraw more than 100 Euro per time.

Not today but on the 1st yes, if i didn't make a mistake it would have let me taken out more actually.
I am confused who is doing support on this issue right now. Wtf is going on here.

Tapaz 07-03-2020 09:13 AM

Paxum = No support . How much you can withdraw now?

RuthB 07-03-2020 09:39 AM

None of the card limits have been changed, but there have been some intermittent technical issues with the processor that may be contributing to this type of issue.

Tapaz 07-03-2020 10:07 AM

Ruth, you must be joking. In europe there are LIMITS , read the news and check your email ( and possibly answer ). The card has limits due to Wirecard problems. SOme Banks do not even allow to withdraw..

elmy 07-07-2020 01:02 AM

yesterday I ordered a master card, eur accounts are already fixed?

I can confirm that there does appear to be a limit on Canadian ATM's. Where before you could take out 3k+ (TD ATM required two transactions, as their cap was $2400 for a single transaction), you are now capped at what appears to be 2k total for the day.

Chris suggested it was due to the single Bank (TD ATM's) I was using. But I have since tried multiple bank ATM's and once you take out 2k... there is a message that you've reached your daily limit. Thats it, $2k total per day. (UnionPay card for me).

Having said that, 2K is an awfully low amount to set.

deja vu

deja vu

Any info on Paxum Wirecards? Do they work? What's the current daily withdrawal limit? I guess it's not $3k like it was before?

That sucks, I think I won't transfer funds to the card now and will use other withdrawal method instead.

pushkidman 07-10-2020 01:20 PM

Today I received this message from few affiliate programs (Gammae, KellyCash):

Quote:

Dear valued affiliates,

Following recent banking events in Europe it is not presently possible to process payments via Paxum and we don’t have a clear idea of when that may resume. In the meantime we highly suggest switching your payout method to check, which will be processed on the next pay period.

We appreciate your patience as we search for other solutions.
Is this somehow related to the card issue? If yes, then HOW exactly?
