Yeah that should be rolled into anyone's marketing strategy but DMCA companies do have their place when you have people stealing your entire members area to file lockers etc.
I've spoken with a couple of models who intentionally "leak" to a few big sites including forums + mega.nz links doing guerilla marketing and their revenue on OF has shot up 30-40% since doing so.
But some people don't see that and would rather spend money on a DMCA company than make more money.Comment
