What Digital Camera do you recommend?

We have a camedia c2000z that is excellant in and outdoors. You can add a extra flash for out doors. They have alot higher models out now I believe. This thing will do everything but smack your butt if I can coin a phrase.lol It does a nice panoramic series set that is really cool too. Works on the flash cards that are now really reasonably priced. It do use up the batteries but I guess thats to be expected.
So get lots of rechargables! No clue what they are priced like now but the guys at all the different stores recommended it over the higher priced models which would lower THEIR commissions. Its a 2 megapixel that takes really great shots. Ahh well we paid 1250 I think but that was with lots of batts, charger, cards and all of the extras. I married a closet photographer that always wanted cameras but never had more than 126.

Got to rambling, but do look at their products by all means!

Thanks Gemeni, We found one site that shows pics from different cameras and they all seem to be pretty comparable.

I will check into the one you recommended. We are prob. going to go look at Costco here locally and see what they have....I haven't bought a camera in so long I don't know where to look for one lol.

While hating the store in general we ended up buying at Circuit City due to 30 bucks less. I think Best Buy has them, And you can get them online all over too for pretty good prices. OMG the hubby just told me this one lists at like 450 now Just abit over a year later. Technology! Grrrr

I have a Epson PC 800. But for $500 in US I think you can buy the Epson PC 850z. It's pretty good. The medium resolution is 1600 x 1200 (25 photos), the min. is 640 x 480 (about 120 photos in the memory card).. the max I don't remember, but it's 12 photos the storage. Bought a 80 MB compact flash card, only have to go to the mail store and pay and grab it.

I can recomend AGAINST the RCA - they take good pics, but the battery runs down after about 50 pics... real pain in the ass...

I forgot to post....thanks for reminding me Chris. We went to ZDNet, and PC Mag. and did a bunch of research and ended up getting the Kodak DC4800 Zoom for about $500. It is a 3.2 megapixel camera that seems to have a lot of the features of a SLR...you can set f stops, white balance, choose from 4 different compression/quality settings, takes pics quick...esp. with the auto settings.

We took some pics of each other under crappy light conditions and seems to be working good. We are planning on going out today and tonight for some outdoor pics. I'll post something when I get a chance to show you how it looks, and get feedback.
