I Vote Tomorrow - Seriously - Yes Or No To Weed?..
It's on the ballot here along with Euthanasia - I know where I am on that - I am still not 100% on legal weed...
I am fine with weed - Dig in and help yourselves - No problem - I'm just not sure legalizing it will solve a problem?.... Opinions please... |

My state legalized recreational marijuana and I was for it but I don't want it sold in my town...kind of like how democrats are for illegals as long as they aren't living around them.

Its all about letting consenting adults choose what they want to do recreationally, and at the same time bringing in tax to the government at the same time. Its 2020. Nearly 2021. I think I can make up my own mind if I choose to smoke a plant that grows naturally on this planet, in the privacy of my own home, without the technicality that I am breaking the law and committing an illegal act... We all know the only reason tobacco and alcohol are legal, is because they can tax it. So make weed legal, and tax that as well. Simples... & a lot less harmful too...  |

My old town just voted no. Revenue is predicted to be small and they would offer it for recreational and medical use.
I’m getting pills for medical use. Check all aspects of the terms. Will the revenue lower your taxes? Will they need more police to enforce the limits?

I am all in favor of physician assisted suicide but I understand and respect those who's beliefs prevent them for being in favor of it. Without setting aside your beliefs, I think you should vote in favor of it anyway.
Very few, if any, decisions are more personal than a person's belief in a God..... whatever/whomever that person may be for you or the teachings of that God. If I had to liken myself to a religion, I'd have to lean toward Christianity but respect that those who are Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu have every right to their beliefs. Now, ask yourself, do you respect the rights of people who have chosen a different religion to follow? If so, here is my logic to explain why you too should vote in favor of something that you personally don't agree with. As a Christian, and in following the teachings of the bible, I must believe that all Hindu, Muslims and Buddhist are going to hell as Christ is the only pathway to Heaven which contradicts my previous statement in respecting that a person has a right to a different religion/God. So I have made a personal choice to allow something that goes against my beliefs to exist. And from a legal standpoint I offer this: We make laws for the betterment of society & to protect those incapable of protecting themselves. You can drink yourself under the table and that's perfectly legal and not infringe against your personal choice to do so. Only when you come out into society and are intoxicated in public or decide to get behind the wheel of a car and drive does your personal choice become a societal one where we need to invoke laws preventing it. So if anyone would, please explain to me how deciding to end my own life effect society? I'm not harming anyone else nor am I endangering humanity as a whole. If I am eat up with terminal cancer and the pain is excruciating. I have no quality of life, bedridden, on pain meds that do little to ease the suffering and you, sitting in your lazy-boy recliner eating hamburgers and watching Real Housewife's of whatever get decide for me that I can't end my life? That's just not right... and what that should say is, That's just not right FOR YOU if it were you in that bed. |

In almost every countries you can get it. But in many countries the quality is bad and not much choice.
When you buy some weed in Mexico you know it would be better if it was legal so that the millions of people don´t need to buy from obscure dealers. Or like Jamaica where everyone can sell small amounts without looking your back. I am in Holland and how relaxed that is when you want to smoke something. Good quality, save to buy, no cops that want your money or give you a criminal record. If you are pro Euthanasia, you say people might choose to live or die. So it looks to me people can also decide themselves if they want to smoke weed or not. They also can go in the army and kill people without problems.

I'm here in Washington state for a minute. Reefer is legal, cheap and will knock your dick in the dirt. In fact, it is way different than in the 70's. You have to smoke it like the best hash. A flake at a time or you will become stupid. I buy it by the gram now and had to switch to Cosmic Charlie which has way less thc. Similar to Panama Red or Columbian Gold. Legalize it and become happy.

It really comes down to how it's done, how it's taxed, who can grow and sell it, etc.
Canada really botched the legalization rollout, putting hundreds of quality independent producers out of business while giving big contracts to shitty factory producers. They also set their prices based on the average street prices of the black market, which obviously is set on things like "legal risk". The low quality government weed from government stores has been dried out or moldy, and priced higher than the black market, driving consumers back to their old dealers  |

Anyone who thinks alcohol should be legal and weed shouldn't is an absolute moron.
I say this as someone who doesn't smoke weed. When's the last time you heard about a guy smoking a joint and getting into a stupid fight at the bar and shooting the place up? How often do people smoke a joint and beat their significant other? How much violence is associated with someone being under the influence of weed? What makes some the worst version of themselves? Weed or alcohol? The fact that this is even needs to be debated is absurd and before someone hit back with "what about the health concerns of smoking?" = Then cigarettes should be illegal as well.
