    Link building Strategies

I was questioning an an internet marketer with some inside info on linkbuillding strategies - especially I was pondering if it was worth spreading hosting, what to pick or get penalized for etc ...

I found it quite interesting as it threw away all the clever little tricks i thought i knew....

The best SEO strategy is to have none!

The best linkbuilding strategy is to get linked/named/mentioned in quality locations with relevance and authority in your field.

The better an experience you give the surfer, the happier he is that he found you through the link, the more it helps you ranking wise. Thats all.
What counts as an 'authority' site in porn?

Porn sites have virtually no hope of being linked to by any authority mainstream sites.

Maybe Google does check for multiple links from the same server for adult sites (and/or affiliate sites)?

Im sure they do know/count. One of the points is that thats more or less inevitable.

But in porn, with our special limitations, I guess "authority" or strength if you wish just run on a slightly different and lower scale.

        - Theres no doubt a frontpage link on GFY or Pornhub passes more juice than a link on a blog i registered yesterday
        - theres no doubt a footer link farm counts less than a link inside a press release on one of the big adult news sites, ie quality context

...and so, we can measure it by DA, TF or simply look at the page and make an educated guess at quality levels.

I once had an SEO person give me shit about the work I was doing on my site.. She was " Helping " me.. I mentioned the variations I was using to my main focus keyword and she asked me why on earth I wold do something like that.

Next G update all of her sites hit the floor and mine were rock steady.

Yes variations are great! Too many SEO people optimise for right now, forget about the future.

If I can see a website has got phony links because of all the identical things (anchor, whatever) then so can G and they will filter for it at some point.
