News I've Been Using Zoom To Shoot Nudes (20 Photos)

Being confined mostly to home, it's been a challenge to stay productive and creative. About ten days ago I had the idea to try to use the Zoom app to "photograph" nudes, and managed to talk four models into working with me. With the caveat that the images, by virtue of how they're captured, are not high resolution, here are some of the nudes:

would it not be best just to speak on zoom but instead of using zoom to take the images, this not being high quality, but to discuss with the model, the images you would like, angles and niche, lighting etc. Then to send you the selfshot nudes taken on their mobiles via server...

I take selfies every morning for my fans, all 4k, then bulk editing, to 720 and 1080p, depending on where i´m posting them.

Hey "Natalie" thanks for the suggestion. However, there are several problems with what you're suggesting, which is essentially to ask the models to shoot custom images from my specifications. Perhaps a few moments pondering the realities of the situation may have led you to uncover the obvious issues with what you're suggesting.

There's the problem of the difficulty of shooting the kinds of "selfies" that I need, which is not merely pointing the camera at themselves for their adoring fans, but coming up with interesting angles on their bodies that may be hard to see on a cell phone screen.

There's the problem that the models don't have the years of experience I have in posing models, so don't have the same sensibilities I do as to to what looks good.

There's the problem that if the model chooses all the variables involved with the creation of the image--even from my details specs--then it's her vision, not mine.

There's the problem of the light; it took me a number of years from the time I began to get serious about photography to be able to see the light in a scene, and know how to capture it. At that point, I realized I could call myself a photographer. I couldn't expect a young model with very limited photography experience to be able to see light like I can.

And finally, there's the problem of authorship: if the models take the photos themselves and send them to me, then they're the authors of the images (duh). By capturing the image the model has transmitted to me that has appeared on my monitor, then I'm the author of the images and thus own the copyright.
