Anyone received the SBA money yet?

I am seeing people I know on Facebook claiming they got their checks from the government....

The stimulus is going out, people are receiving that.

I haven't seen anyone receive PPP yet. I have heard of talk of other businesses receiving funds from the disaster loan program, I forget what that one is called.

PPP and SBA money is going out. You have to go to a bank and request it. But it isn't available to those in adult.

I have a friend who owns a bar. He got it and it is basically 2.5 times his payroll, rent and utilities. So he's keeping his employees on payroll, paying the rent on the space and utilities he's scratching his head on. He's closed. But still has minimal ones he guesses.

I have another friend who runs a construction company. He has almost 100 employees. But he also has massive amounts of payments to make on tractors and other heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, etc. His business is slashed to about 20 employees worth of time. So he is supposed to pay for all of the equipment how? And he is supposed to keep all of those employees sitting around? And once things get lifted he says it will be months before he can get business squared away. So he doesn't understand how this is all supposed to work. He guesses his business is a bit bigger than a typical small business that the loans were made for.

Another runs a liquor store. She is sitting pretty. She got to stay open, and had her business drop only slightly. So to her it is like free money because they gave her a loan as if she is out of business. Though she has to find a way to spend 75%+ on salaries. So she is having her workers do cleaning of the store in a major way and she is using the utilities portion to do some upgrades.

SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) and EIDL grants have started going out.
