        Berlin is dirty, edgy, artsy, and open minded. It's where you can party for days on end.

        Yes, there's brothels there. Yes, there's porn there. Yes, there's sex parties there. Yes, there's dark rooms in the clubs there where people fuck. Yes, there's hedonist clubs there.

        That's Berlin and that's awesome!

            Seen this a million times myself. I live about 80% of the year in Cancun Mexico. We have a house here.

            If you can not earn money online or have a good retirement dont leave.

            with the amazing exchange right now for Cancun, to be my neighbor renting is about 1500 to 2500 dollars on average. We live in an upscale area and everything is within walking distance. We are 1.4 KM to the water as the crow flies. 20 to 25 min driving.

            Schools are not cheap if you need them.

            Cars are basically the same price. Public transportation is here but it sucks and a taxi gets expensive. ( You can import your car )
            Gas is almost 2 times the price.
            Insurance is less than 1/3



            Maybe you see a pattern there.

            A simple thing that bothers people and this is just an example is. I go shopping. I want to buy grape jam. They dont carry that. Maybe one time in every 6 months I can get grape jelly but its twice the price. So my choice is Strawberry or Black berry.

                        There is no thing like a "safe area". All areas are safe equally (we have no street gangs shooting each other). There is a different price scale: as close you are to the center of the city (Kremlin) as higher the price will be.                                 the issue is the 90% of the russians here are gangsters... so I'm very sceptical about going to russia

                                        Our goal was to move to Hawaii. We have a small condo in Honolulu which we've been renting out. The kid was going to go off to college and we were going to rent out the house here and move to Hawaii. Kid went off to college and... came back a few months later. (She's enrolled to a local college and staying at home with us, which is fine.)

                                        I know it's not "expat" but... might as well be. And much safer.

                                                I love Vegas. always something going on here. Good food great roads for the Harley. Close to 4 states so easy travel. Major airport so easy access to anywhere. I live about 20 minutes from the strip so it’s easy in easy out for me.

                                                            We will end up with a house either on Hawaii or Kauai. We love both islands. But that’s not expating. It would be for vacations.
