    Traffic from small SE:s

Does anybody get any significant amount of traffic from the smaller SE:s like Info Tiger, REX, Scrub the Web, Splat Search, Funky Cat etc.?

I submitted to a few of these smaller players a couple of months ago, but my logs show only a handful hits from them Not worth submitting then?

A very close friend of mine (Dopy on here) recently wrote me a small engine submit script that makes a special page for each keyword pair or phrase. The idea being that collectivly the smaller engines can bring in significant traffic. I was surprised to see that some of the keyword pairs return top ten listings in less than 2 weeks. I have learnt the hard way with search engines - leave it up to someone who really knows what they doing because the top one's hold some very nasty penalty secrets.

100 hits is better than 0 hits.. the more hits you get the more chance you get on making money

When I first started Adultcore I sat down with a list of 100+ search engines and submitted to them all.

I don't get hammered by them, but I still get traffic 2 years later. Adds up after a while.

Also, except for the time you spend submitting, there's no reason not to.

I've decided to give the smaller SE's a new chance to prove their traffic generative capabilities

But I miss a URL to a good page which lists them all, like Warphead's 100+ list did. I quick search only revealed this: http://www.searchengines.com/generalSearch.html (the SEO services have themselves filled the SE's with spam; hard to find useful info there )

And busy I have been! 8 hrs of old-fashioned hand-submitting to 100+ SE's and directories... The directories are a pain in the ass. 1) check if the directory lists adult sites, 2) give your contacts, 3) write a nice site description, 4) crunch out a bunch of relevant AND used keywords, 5) hit submit and get a 404 !!

No, not really Most of the sites on the list are well and alive. Thanks Warphead
