				My Glory Days! (car pic)
<center><img src="http://www.jizzbank.com/delete/bird.jpg"></center> 1987 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350 Engine (TPI + K&N) (was originally a 305, i upgraded it, heh) 2.75" exhaust streight from hooker headers to tips shift-kit for tranny musical horn (played godfather tune, loud as all hell!) "wig-wags" <--- this is the system that police and ambulances use to make all the lights flash. When i put them on, the back and front lights all went nuts ... was awsome to pull over girls and get numbers! custom cut fog lights in the front bumper! They were super duper bright!!! system ... Custom speaker box that fits in entire trunk. 4 12" JL's aiming up toward the glass in the back hatch. 50 band digital EQ 2 6x9 high output in the rear wall (behind your head) 2 8" round in the lower door panels 4 high output tweaters in the dash voice controlled radio, flip out screen ... also has remote all powered by a 1400 watt pheonix gold amp I remember sititng in front of a store late one night with radio up, it set the damned alarms off! tires were 245x50x16 ... costed me $200 each for pirelli Z-rated and i blew through them like every 4 months! Motor was redone and pistons were bored, never had any problems for 2yrs ... only thing is i went through tranny mounts every week! the burnouts really ate them up like candy! Well thats my glory days i supose. Bad pic but i cant find the others. P.S the oil is not from that car, this was in someone elses house.

fun ride. My first car was the same thing... an 87 formula... came with a 305 but previous owner put in a 350, flowmasters, some other crap. Car has a bunch of problems but that was the fun part, fixing them - it was like getting a new car each time. Its funnny how many pricks drive up and give you dirty looks wanting to race, and when you do and beat their ass then meet them at the next light, they wont even acknowledge your presence. Who WILL acknowledge your presence is the cops. They love pulling over f-bodies. I screwed my insurance and had my licesnse suspended for a few months cuz of getting a lot of points. But it was fun tho.

oh man, i couldnt have said it better myself! I know the feeling you mean when you beat someone, heh ... yes it is a fast car, but not many people realize HOW fast until they meet one at a light! With the help of that car, i got 12 points on my license, lol .... your so right about the cops!!! My insurance is still fucked up, im paying near $12k for full coverage!!!!@!# BTW did you ever have problems with tranny mounts?? As i said above, id blow through one every single week!! It was like a routine i had on sunday nights, id jack up the car, raise the tranny, pop out the old and in the new! I was buying box's of 12, LOL!!!! They did have another option, some harder material or something that wouldnt wear down as fast ... but between that and the shift kit, when i bang second, it would throw me in the back seat! LOL!!!

Yup, the one thing i regret is dumping all that cash into a bird with no T-Tops!!!! And anyone who has owned one knows that the firebird's without T-Tops have a very high tendency of getting "stress marks" on the roof on both sides. Basically it looks like the car is trying to make its own t-tops, hahaha That pissed me off alot, but not a whole lot i could have done.

Tranny mount, yes. Or maybe it was the engine mount. Nah, I think it was the tranny. FUCKING annoying, everytime I would give it gas at a stop, I would hear this fucking knock in the engine, felt like some1 hit the car. Speaking of hitting the car... When I bought mine it had the right fender and front bumper fucked up. The guy said his 'gf' did it in a parking lot. He also said the Y pipe was a little loose. I was 19 and was just in awe of this car that sounded like a monster truck... I just wanted it no matter what the fuck was wrong with it. My dumbass didnt even test drive it ... (well, he drove it around the block at low speed, said he couldnt let me drive it cuz no plates... LIke I said, I was dumb and didnt care). I bought the car for $1200. Same day I brought it home, I was later driving and got side to side with another 87 forumula... We nodded eachother and I slammed the gas... The car was pretty fast, then me and my friend who was with me was wondering WTF is that loud screeching noise. I pulled over to find the y pipe dragging on the ground. Great. My friend just stuck it back in the cat converter and I was able to drive it back... but no more punching the gas until I fixed the pipe. So that was the first among many problems with the car.. but I was young and didnt give a shit, was happy to fix it and drive it feeling all new and fixed. So, I sold it about a year and half later with most original probs fixed, to a kid that was just like me when I bought it. Hearing the car turn on alone sold him on it. But I was being forced to sell my car by my GF (shut up guys, we were having a baby)... but I was brutally honest with the kid about everything wrong with car - and it needed work. The one thing I wanted most for the car was a notchback. That would have been cool. I might buy me another 3rd gen f-body, maybe a trans am or something one day, just to play with. Fun cars indeed. Im up in air at what sports car I want now, now that Im making enough to afford that plus the family cars we have, and more importantly, the fucking insurance I would get for a sports car. </endlongfuckingstory>
