People pay average 80kUSD to climb Everest, and the death rate on Everest is 6.5%. If they say something like "The trip for winners! Be the first to brag about your trip to space, even if all you did was make a payment! Great selfie!" then they'll get plenty of business

I'm not the one who sets up the prices and timing. That's why I've actually asked.
P.S. On the other hand. How much it would cost to you for a one hour flight at a personal (you are the only passenger) civilian jet which doesn't use afterburners for a supersonic speed and needs less of fuel?

Yes, i think i'v seen business class flight for around similar price.
You can do it here (just notice the $$$ and seems it will be available the summer time again): Fly MiG-29 in Russia | MiGFlug
I paid £12,000 for a first class return ticket from Heathrow to LAX 20+ years ago
So 17,500 Euros seems like a bargain especially if this is your pilot ?

This is actually you
But for real, flying at 1/5 of the outer space altitude with a supersonic speed should be a dream of anyone when we were kids, isn't it?
That's for bare minimum no luxuries to 8000 feet, above which you need a Team Leader, trash fee, and a 5000 deposit in case of accidents.
This is BEFORE equipment, flights, food, insurance, hotels, and extra guides. A total of around 60 days is necessary to complete the Everest Expedition, so, you'll be paying gringo prices for two months.

think how much it cost just to get the pilot up there

What a nightmare - 60 days of pure hell and the bastards charge you an arm and a leg (possibly literally) - If I wanted that I would check into Disney Land - On second thoughts that would probably cost about the same!..
That's a strange thing actually. I also scared of heights... when I stay at a thin piece of something at a high altitude, it scares me as shit, but when I'm at a balcony (I'm living in a skyscraper) or when I'm inside of a plane, I have no fear at all. No, I think it's cool. I don't like to be locked inside of a closed area with unknown people (actually I don't like people at all), but when I'm in an airplane and I seat near an porthole, all fears go away. I feel like a kid when we take off and landing. And during the whole flight I'm just relaxing (even if we went into an airhole and other passengers are vomiting). I don't like planes because I don't like to be with the people inside of a can, but I really love to fly.

It's Russia. I don't think that a civilian pilot can earn more than $10,000 USD a month. Of course if someone is a personal pilot of Putin or a pilot of one of his friends/oligarchs and he does a blowjob (literally) to his bosses, he may earn 100x times more. But that's an exception. A regular pilot in Russia can't go over $10K a month.
