How often: As seldom as possible. Reason: 1)The ability to use multiple domains from the same account without any additional fees; 2) Low BW costs and/or much BW included in the basic monthly fee; 3) Reliability of operation; 4) Helpful and fast support. Present BW costs: $4 - $5.

yes i have switched, close to 5 times now. funniest excuse i ever got for my server being down was that it was "accidentally unplugged". no joke, they said someone must have kicked the cable from behind it. i switched from that company within 48 hours after that and was only with them for about three weeks.

i have been with cheap hosts, expensive hosts, servers friends of friends had, ect ect. i learned the very hard way you get what you pay for, and i pay to keep my shit up, my download speeds fast, and my server secure.

$4-$5 per gig is very costy. I can help you find something better and cheaper if you need... what isp is your site located at the moment? $2 - $3 per gig is more like it and of course a non conjested network and 99.9% uptime.

hmm... I know that IsPrime, ProHosters and Westmaster all charge $2 - $3 per gig ...

To add to my former list: The host should be able to accept initial cc payment over a secure server, after that monthly automatic billing.

I only change if I have to. But unfortunately I've felt I had to more than once or twice. Site was down the whole week between Xmas and New Years without an explaination and then they didn't even want to credit me for putting me out of business for that time.
