Creating affiliate system (similar to hubtraffic)

    Hello guys,

I am in process of trying to get an affliate system in place. I want to increase high quality traffic to our portal (tube+community+actor interviews+toy reviews etc..).

There is an affiliate system that was launched just few weeks ago. May I ask anyone to give any feedback on the rate, and generally what is their feel about it?

There were two options to consider and I chose the first one, but not sure if it was a good choice:

    1) Add a reference ID to the URL and track every unique IP and pay affiliates for every 1000 unique IP's starting off with around 1$ per 1000

    2) Implement a CCBill affiliate system, where I would pay for free registration. (like 1$-1.5$)

Would you say that this is a good approach? What is your experience when setting up an affiliate system for non-paid website?

Thank you in advance for your time!

    Alex

First one would be better choice, as with second choice you would limit yourself from many traffic sources.

Any feedback on the rate? Is 1$-2$ competitive for 1000 uniques?

You'd only get low quality traffic with rates like that.

Xhamster and Pornhub have very similar rates. I wonder what they do different.

Yes , it is possible to get traffic on that rate, but there is still question is it possible to get ROI regardless of traffic quality.

Nothing, they have tons of money to throw Plus, they are doing this since beginning so they accumulated a lot of experience doing it. I'v seen them even buying skim traffic which is lower quality.
