The Younger Dryas was a period of rapid cooling in the late Pleistocene 12,800 to 11,500 calendar years ago. It followed closely on the heels of a dramatically abrupt warming that brought the last Ice Age to a close (17,500 calendar years ago), lasted for about 1,300 years, then ended as abruptly as it started.

I'm viewing some cool vids about it....

So the earth warms and cools based on stimuli and yet global warming can’t exist as you don’t want it to? I am amazed at the gyrations you will go through to pretend we aren’t effecting the environment.

No one is saying that humans aren't effecting the earth. What they're saying is that the bullshit being spewed about there being "less than 12 years" is the same nonsense they've been bandying on about for the to past 60 years. But there's no grey area with lefties, it's either agree with us or feel our wrath.

It's 12 years to do something before everything spirals out of control and the chances of a human [Einstein] genius coming along to save humanity will be even slimmer. After that it will be a few hundred years of survival and pure hell for a lot of humans, and many extinctions of innocent animal living beings.

Forest fires on the increase, releasing even more huge quantities of CO2, with less trees to recapture it for decades (if replanted) --- causing more extreme heatwaves --- causing even more forest fires --- and the cycle spirals out of control.

It's already happening.

Humans ARE PARASITIC to the Earth and it's living species --- this is a FACT.

Not sure where you are headed. So global warming is real but how severe is it? No one knows. I thought this was pretty well understood. If sea levels rise, we sort of have a clue but as far as will certain areas get more droughts and others more rain? No one knows and that is why there is fear. Fear of the unknown or uncontrollable change. Read the reports or even a synopsis and you will see a pretty big room for error.

Only for certain people. This is not an absolute. I am pretty sure me and mine will be fine but those with less resources will suffer more. Btw, didn’t an extreme drought take out your home? I would have thought this would have been a concrete lesson on rapid change.
